When you checked out after applying the code, did you see the total being $0.00?
If not, the code was probably not entered correctly.
If you did, the $1 pending charge is just validation that the card is current. It goes away after a few days and no actual charge is processed.
This is not true. Redbox will take 1.08 from you. It has happened to me and my friend many times.
Ok about the $1.08 I have never been charge anything more then
$1.00 and it has always been on a statement even on my creditcard
statement. Where do you get the .08? lol
here in WA they charge tax on the rental and the total charge comes to 1.08

i’ve used the monday code 3 x since I starting using Redbox.
It worked everytime until i looked at my credit card statement and i was charged all 3 times. I was never late with any return and it shows 0.00 for the price at the machine but it isn’t true.
they put a “hold” on your card which normally comes off within a week or returning. Maybe your billing statement closed before that? Monday free codes have worked for me .. for free.. for over a year now
One Time Only Code Question – Is there an expiration on the one time only codes ( not Monday )? Do they expire after a said amount of time if they go unused?
Yes they do expire, the ones i’ve been given all expire 45 days from when they’re issued, not sure if that’s the norm but i think it is.
I’m new & excited… Can someone explain to me how this works and how I “redeem” the code at the redbox? Can’t wait to go in just a bit!

There is a promo code button on the touch screen. Enter the code. Second step is to choose your movie. Final step, use your credit card for it to work. It’s a one day free rental. Return the DVD to any redbox by tomorrow before 9pm or you’ll be charged the 1.08 rental fee.
Promo code freebes are mostly one mondays, never fridays or weekends. When holidays come up, 2-3 promo codes will be released
I HAVE HAD PROMO CODES FOR WEDNESDAYS, TO BAD ON THE FRIDAY ONES
Don’t use this promo code any more because Redbox will still charge you 1.08 for a movie.

Hi, i am new to redbox….just started to rent last week. I used one free code last monday and then rented dvds throughout the week.
Today again, I tried using the monday promo code on my regular credit card, and it didnt allow.
However,when i used it on another credit card, it went through.
Is there a limit to the amount of free codes u can use on one credit card?

Is it only one rental code per cc for a one month cycle or something or did they just institute that? Because I know I have rented at least three other times using a Monday code with the same cc (twice last year and once two weeks ago), but today it didn’t work=(.
Every monday there is a code that is only valid for that day, If you want more than one movie free then use the code once per credit card. It is almost worth applying for more credit cards.
You can only use any promo code once per credit card.
I understand that you can only use a promo code once per card, but I used my card two Mondays ago to get a free rental and when I tried using the same card yesterday using yesterday’s free promo code, it wouldn’t take it. Is that normal?

You should be able to use the same card each monday to rent a movie with the new code.

I’m new, I just now signed up. So the codes only come out on Mondays for that one single day? (If that is the case, I won’t ask anyone if they have the code for this week if it won’t work the rest of the week. But if it will work, then could someone tell me the code? Thanks).
I used to get codes online in the past (now many codes seem to not work), but agreed about using each code just once with each credit card. For the person who was able to get the code to work multiple times with the same card, count that as a blessing–must have just been your lucky day. :-) Or did you happen to use the same card at side-by-side machines and just luck out that the system hadn’t yet updated to note your card had already been used? That’s a possibility also. Ever since I found free movies online, and haven’t been getting free codes for RedBox (or elsewhere) I simply haven’t been bothering with DVDs much.
