Does the code only work at certain walmarts. We are in Mesa, Arizona and we went to two different Redbox locations in Walmarts and both said the promo code was not available at that location. We went in the afternoon so I would have thought the glitches would have been fixed by then. Any ideas about this?
Where do you enter the promo code? I went Monday & it asked for my credit/debit card – no where to enter promo code to get it for free.
How To Rent w/ Promo Code:
1. Add your movie to cart.
2. Do NOT select check out, instead look for “rent with promo code” at the bottom of screen
3. Enter code
4. You will still be required to swipe your card incase you do not return the movie before 9pm the next night, they will charge you.
I press a “Rent with promo code” FIRST before doing anything else… it’s at the bottom everytime for me… then i enter my code and then pick my movie. hope this helps ~~
I used a mon. promo code for the first time last week but I ended up getting charged I didn’t worry about it because it was only $1 but if it happens again what do I need to do?
Always check the checkout screen with the total amount on it to make sure it says $0.00, it’s easy to type the code in wrong on the touch screen, I always double check it before I press OK.
Always put your e-mail address in, you only have to do it once and the system will remember it next time you go rent with that c-card. They don’t SPAM you.
Now you will get receipts confirming everything.
If something goes wrong, call Redbox as soon as you can, they are really good about fixing problems.
And they do put a $1 hold on your card, but it should typically go away in a day or so depending on what day it is and how your card / bank processes things.

I tried to use the wednesday promo code last week and for some reason no matter how i tried it wouldn’t work. has anyone else had problems? I am going to try this one tonite and hope that it works. I live in Cali do they work at redboxes over this way. I hope so.

Tried JBG123 at Walmart. Wouldn’t work, but DVDONME did.
I also used this promo at wal-mart and it worked for each card that I had (3 times)
You folks do a great job…I enjoy the free movies, but I often will
pay for an additional movie if there’s one I have an interest in…so I don’t feel guilty about the free rides I take.

Try again later on, I’ve noticed that between about 4 and 6PM people are returning movies and you can grab it then. Keep hitting reload on the Redbox web page. The “check nearby” page is good to use for that. Then run, don’t walk to the box as quick as you can.
Locations where there are two machines and both have the movie are great.
After about 6PM, popular rentals start disappearing again.

1. STARDUST. This DVD does not show up on Redbox’s website inventory but it was AT my local Shoprite Redbox. Is this what they mean by potluck? Maybe we need a separate database to track these local finds.
