Welcome to another edition of Inside Redbox’s Preview Review, where we recap the movies that will be coming out in theaters this weekend. The goal of this feature is to help you make your weekend movie-watching plans, as well as to note movies that you want to Redbox in a few months when they come out on DVD.

There’s something for everybody in wide release this week. Younger guys will flock to the newest Transformers movie (which opened on Wednesday), younger girls have Monte Carlo to help them live out their heiress fantasies, and older folks will likely appreciate Larry Crowne. Previews and the official trailers for Transformers: Dark of the Moon, Larry Crowne and Monte Carlo are after the break.

Transformers: Dark of the Moon

Michael Bay brings his love of battling robots, things exploding, and battling robots that are exploding to the big screen for the third time. Allegedly the last in Bay’s trilogy based on the classic 80s toy line, Transformers: Dark of the Moon will likely be an assault on both the senses and the wallets of moviegoers. Rated PG-13.

Larry Crowne

Veteran A-listers Tom Hanks and Julia Roberts star in this Hanks-directed tale of a middle-aged man’s shot at a new life. Roberts plays the role of his teacher/crush at a local college. Rated PG-13.

Monte Carlo

In this tale of mistaken identity, three friends take a trip to Paris, where one of them discovers her uncanny resemblance to a famous and wealthy heiress. A dream vacation and various hijinks ensue. Rated PG.

Will you be heading out to see any of these movies this weekend, Insiders? Let us know in the comments.

Maybe Larry Crowne if the weather’s bad. I like the actors, although the plot looks ridiculous.
