What’s your favorite fairy tale movie of all time?

There are almost too many choices for this one.

Have to go with the princess bride. A timeless classic that has gone for generations that the whole family can enjoy. Such a varied cast from carol kane to andre the giant. A great story that will bring a laugh and shed a tear. There are no arguments with this one. The princess bride will last forever.

Beauty and the best is my all time favorite. It shows that love is a feeling, a friendship. Not just looks!

Cinderalla is my pick .. hope and goodness prevails and is rewarded with true love… I do like Princess Bride but it can’t get my overall vote because of the violence for the kids… so
    Cinderalla

Are you kidding? It has to be Cinderella! A lil poor girl ….with no foreseeable future to speak of. And then one day the most handsome and charming man in the neighborhood takes notice of her ..not to mention insanely wealthy! He realizes nothing matters unless he has her by his side. She has a fairy godmother who gives her the most beautiful dress and coach to use. Her life is transformed by love. Ok, so a fairy tale is just that ~ fantasy. But what girl amongst us hasn’t dreamed of being swept off her feet, by her own Prince Charming…if it’s only ever been once! Definitely Cinderella!

I have definitely watched Shrek the most.
When it came out my grand son could watch it over and over again, and would start to cry when it got to the end.
In those days we had it on VHS, so he would cry while we re-wound it.
One day he watched it, I think it was 12 times ! ! !

Most definately The Princess Bride! Its unlike any other movie thats been made and if anyone tried at this point it would probably be really corny. That kind of love is only fairytale….”as you wish”…..

I will have to vote for……………The Original Snow White from Disney. Its hard to believe all those fairy tales had such a dark side that we have grown to accept as the “norm” with some exceptions . Still the battle between good and evil exists and that ol poison apple can be overcome with the right antedote….. normally a kiss will do it every time.ahh good old romance……

Jean Cocteau’s Beauty and the Beast — it’s magnificent, but I find myself always loving Beast…while the Prince is always a bit of a disappointment LOL
