Going to the movies is definitely a treat for our family. Usually we will go during the holidays, while on summer vacation trips or date night with spouse. Occasionally there is a movie that is a have-to-see, like right now, I’m liking the previews of Daniel Ratcliffe in his new movie, The Lady in Black. When all the Harry Potter movies came out, my son just had to go. He would mow grass and earn enough money to go. We also try to go to early matinees to save on the costs. Otherwise, we rent a lot of movies to watch in the comfort of our home. We built an addition that included a movie room, so my husband enjoys watching movies on his t.v. We also can invite other people to see the movie with us. When we want to all take a break, we can push pause and not miss a thing.
I saw about 2 movies a month last year. I think I will see about 1 movie a month this year, so it will be less. Although, I love going to the movies.
We usually go to the movies around Thanksgiving and Christmas, but I think we will be taking in a few more movies this year.
I don’t think we got to go to the movies at all last year if we did it was once. Not sure that we will go this year either. We usually wait for it to come out on video. We love getting Redbox. The kids love to help and love when it is their turn to pick a movie.
..Hello..
….I plan on seeing as many as I can….Sneaking from theater to theater can be tough at times….*Wink*….
…Be Seeing You…Raja…
I’m one of those who will wait for a movie to go to Redbox unless it’s a 3D movie. When it’s 3D, I’ll go to the theater. I physically go to the theater only 10 – 15 times per year. The price of movies at the theater house are very pricey these days so I’ll probably go the same amount of times as last year, or less. It depends on how many 3D movies come out this year! I’m disabled so movies at home are the way to go for me! Going out can be a hassle but is also a welcome treat to get out of the house!
I’m hoping to see more this year.
I see with my kids 5-6 movies a week!!! hehe I dont know if I can sqeeze in more but ill try!
Seeing movies is not an option yet. So until the economy changes, I will stick with renting movies from redbox.
Maybe 12 this year, less than last year, just so expensive, plus theatres not so close anymore. Will go for blockbusters, & academy award nominees; will watch others on DVD from Redbox.
I plan on seeing maybe 3-5 movies this year in theaters. Otherwise, I would just wait until it hits Redbox and watch it in the comfort of my own home because my movie experiences have never really been that pleasant. I will watch more movies in theater this year because there are some good movies worth seeing on big screen.
Just a few. Its too expensive!
Plan on taking the family to has many movies as we can. Don’t have a chance to get out much but when we do. We love the movies
Plan to have many more date nights with the hubbie this year! Movie tickets would be a great start!!
Will probably be less, unless we get a new theatre close by. Ours is showing it’s age and the nearest new one is an hour away.
Lol not exagrtating maybe 30 to 40 def more than last year
I don’t see many movies coming out I want to see, and I judge by whether I will wait and rent them
My wife and I are absolute movie fanatics. We anticipate movie releases not only on theaters but on dvd as well. We love going to the theater to see the movies when they first come out on the silver screen and then we buy them at midnight on their dvd release date. It’s kind of a hobby for us. We have 1000+ dvd’s in our home and i’m proud to say we’ve watched everyone of them at least 5 tomes.lol
UMMMMMMM LESS CUZ I GOT 2 JOBS A FULL AND PART TIME AND IM RAISING A KID ON MY OWN AND GOING TO CLASSES SOOOOOOOOO DEFINITELY A TON LESS!
I went to the theater last night, for the first time this year. To say how many movies will be seen at the theater is next to impossible. I have a tendency to go on the spur of the moment. Also, my guy really enjoys going, so it’s probably going to be very numerous. Of course, this doesn’t mean that I won’t be watching my DVDs, as that’s a VERY regular thing. I just love movies!
It will probably be the same as last year, but I really don’t know what that number is! If I had to guess, I’d say 10, give or take a few.
My daughter and I have already seen one and we plan to have a family movie night and my fiance and I will have a date night and we will watch a movie. That will be it. It will be one more than last year. We decided two years ago that we would use one date night to see one and one family date to see one for the kids. This year my daughter got a 100 on a really hard test and she got to pick her reward and she wanted to watch a movie on our mommy daughter date. That reminded me why we were limiting our movie theater trips! :)
Love to go to movies, but too expensive with a big family. Only got to a few as a family and one as a date night. Renting is the best option for us. Predict it will continue this way in the future, unfortunately, as well. That’s why we like redbox so much!
It will depend on the quality of movies…..
Some are must see, like The Dark Knight Rises…..
Probably will be seeing about the same as last year, maybe two. Like most everyone else, its just too expensive to be going. So we like waiting until its at redbox then we can afford the family to see it.
We will probably watch mire this year since we will have a bit more income this year once we finish paying off our car in a few months. It gets hard (by which I mean expensive) to take a family if 6 to the movies that often.
Probably around the same this year – average one a month.
R U serious? With the wonderful company of Redbox, why would I want to set foot in a movie theatre again … long lines, expensive snacks, sticky floors, screaming kids, inconsiderate people on the cell phone, rude customer service … forget that I can stay with my family in the comfort of my own home, grab some snacks from the dollar store and set up my own little snack stand and entertain the kids that way. I have kids so often times the theatre just isn’t the best option for me. Top that off with the fact the Redbox offers great selections for the best price in town. Thank you Redbox for the great movies and the codes to get the movies. IF we do go to the theatre we hit the one that has the movies for $3; we’ll probably go maybe (and this is a stretch) 6 times this year.
Unfortunately, a night at the movies is a special treat for me and my family. The ticket prices are so high these days that we can’t afford to go to the movies on a regular basis.
There are a few movies that my husband and I are anticipating seeing, but we will probably not see as many as last year. As of now, there are 4 movies that we are planning on seeing in theaters.
About the same, but plan to attend cheaper viewing times!
omg… probably zero … With the economy… It cost like 40.00 or more to take the family out… With redbox a buck or so and with popcorn, munchies a bathroom and a pause button, why would i go out and spend the extra money?? Thanlks Red Box!
we will probably only see 1 or 2 movies
pry 2 a month, it use to be more but now prices have been raising each year unfortunately
i only went to the movies about 5 times last yr. i wanted 2 go more, but i didnt have a job. this yr i will have a job so i’ll be able to go more often. i usually only go if i REALLY have to see the movie though, otherwise i just wait for it to come to redbox.
see 8 – 10 movies per year
About four.
I usually wait for the Redbox rentals, so there will be no change for me. I might see only 2-3 movies at the theater this year. It would have to be a movie that I’m really anticipating, something special.
We might see 4 movies at the theater this year (as an entire family). With 2 teenage daughters, can’s predict how many additional movies they might see with friends. I would say that is about the same as last year for the family.
With such an uncertain economy I might see 2 a month and wait to rent alot more from Redbox.
