Update
Congratulations to mhartley, our winner! We’ll be in touch shortly about your prize.
We only go to kids movies. Have yet to hire a babysitter for mommy and daddy! I would say we go to 3 movies a year in the theater. We will probably keep that average this year. Too expensive to view more! We rent A LOT of movies. Used to rent from Blockbuster but the went out of business this month. Now we only have the Redbox option. Pretty limited!

I’m going to say probably 7 at the moment (Mission Impossible 4, MIB III, G.I. Joe, Dark Knight Rises, Avengers, Bourne Legacy and Abe Lincoln: Vampire Hunter). I would’ve said 8 but with the news about The Expendables 2 being PG-13 might deter me on that one. There’s also a bunch that look good but I’ll wait until they come out on Blu Ray to watch them.
I will go see 7 movies this year. Because thay are going to be blockbusters.
I will probably see about 6 movies in the theatre this year – 6 less than last year. With the increase in prices at Redbox and Blockbuster along with less promo codes, I have to cut costs where I can.
I am a single mother with a child 3 years old so my movie nights are not as frequent as I would like. I have a wonderful mother who watches my son and gives me the luxury of having the freedom to take in a movie on occasion. Most of the time I wait for the movie to come to the Red Box or the opportunity to purchase it if possible. I will be lucky if I get to see 4 movies, 4 less than last year, with working, taking care of my mother, my son and attending college.
Last year I think we went to the theatre once, maybe twice. However, this year I do think that we will be going at least 4, maybe 5 times, then again – we may even go more than that.
Probably 4, I have a family of 4, so we see most of our movies during holidays and the summer. It’s costly, so I wish we could go more often, but it’s not Cheap!
Only a couple that I can say for sure… Dark Knight Rises and The Avengers. Maybe one or two family movies. Most I can wait to see on DVD. I will definitely be looking for free Movie Money included with purchased DVDs. Got a boatload of free movie tickets last year, if that continues I will go to the theater more often!
I’ll probably go about 3 times, which is about the same as last year.
I’ll probably see about 5 movies in the theatre this year including the one I just saw yesterday (Red Tails).
I’ll probably go about 12-15 times, which is about the same as last year. I have 3 kids & we go when I win movie tickets or we go to the free movies in the summer at Regal.
Maybe 3 times this year. more if there is a good reason to.
i want to go see about 20 or 25. more then this past year that i diidnt really go to the movies.
Between 10-20, and it is definitely fewer than last year. Ticket prices are just too high.
5, this is usually all of the summer blockbusters worth paying premium price for.
Typically action and sci-fi are worth going to cinema.
I went to the movies about 18 times in 2011, I anticipate going about 20-26 times in 2012. I normally go to the matinees with the family.
52, Definitely more than last year
I am a movie theater kind of guy…. I go all the time. I will predict I will see about 24 movies considering I go at least twice a month. Also it depends on if Hollywood comes out with great flicks. By the looks of upcoming releases like The Dark Knight Rises, The Avengers, and other good titles I may see more then 24….
LOVE going to movies, but with little ones at my house…I see most “mommy” movies after they are found at my local Redbox. Yes, I love Redbox.
@ 4 which would be about the same as last year.
Iam not a single mother of three, but it’s justs as hard to come up with free cash for movies at this time. So taking the kids to a movie will have to wait this year so all bills can get paid. I going to say about three times last year.
With the way the economy is going I will be lucky to take the Grand-children to see six movies this year. Wish I could do more but this way we get to have family time and learn more about each other and bond as a family.
Maybe around 4. There haven’t been enough movies worth spending that much money to see.
Only if it is Chris Pine in the Star Trek sequel.
Wendy,
The sequel Star Trek movie is now in FULL production for the next 4 months and all the new actors from the 2009 reboot movie are back. There is no one from the original TOS in this new Star Trek Movie. The new movie is scheduled for release in May 2013 (confirmed by Paramount Studios).
Special treat b/c we use Redbox movies at home.
zero. I can’t afford the $5.00 ticket price. Does anyone ever get the freebies from this that they are supposed to. I have never seen the names of any winners!
Who knows. To name a few I want to see…Avengers, Dark Knight, Hunger Games, Chronicle. Mostly wait for Redbox because it is so much cheaper.
I am planning to see more then I did last year, which shouldn’t be difficult since I saw only 2 last year. Most of the time I am content to wait until the movies come out on RedBox instead of paying to go sit in the theater.
5 to 10. I’d rather watch movies at home.
