We have a McDonalds in our small Mansfield , Pa. town
but : only our Walmart has the only REDBOX for our town and also for our entire county .

Wrong! All the McDonalds do NOT have Redboxes! I live in Arlington Texas and NONE of the McDonalds have Redboxes!
Ditto…I live in Pa. and NONE of the many, many McDonalds NOR the many Walgreens near where I live have Redbox kiosks. In fact, several weeks ago I called several local McDonalds and talked with local management/then their consultant agency/team to suggest Redbox kiosks be put in all the local McDonalds. I explained all the reasons why both McDonalds and Redbox would benefit. They said they thought it was a great idea and definitely would present the suggestion to McDonalds corp. headquarters. Then I saw on this site a blogger say how the McDonalds promo code good for June 15/16th was given out after completing a survey mainly about if you’d use a Redbox kiosk if it was put in your McDonalds. I HOPE EVERYONE RESPONDING TO THE SURVEY SAID YES!YES!YES!

Redbox is NOT in every MCDONALDS!! in Houston, in alot but not all.
We are in Plano, Texas. No McDonald’s have the redbox.
None of the codes work, they say not valid or say I’ve used them before… when I haven’t.

Well i called redbox and they said the promo code was only good at McDonalds only.
Only 1 McDonalds in my area has redbox on beltline rd at highway 175

We are in the double digits here in Springfield…4 McDonald’s, 2 Wal-Marts, 3 Speedways and 1 Meijer. Interestingly enough we have one Speedway that has an ePlay machine. Strange since all the other locations have Redbox.

I have to agree totally with you…. And, if you check into the write-up Redbox gives for the actors in ‘Friday the 13th’, they ‘lied’ about that.. They name Tom Cruise,etc., and other decent actors are in it, but in reality, there are ‘all unknowns’ in it.
Someone listed a working code of 8SVC45 at a McDonald’s in PA. If you know of one in PA, please list the town, city or address…… I know of none! But, for the rest of you viewers, here is a possible working McDonald’s code.

I just did a search of all Redbox locations in PA, and you are correct, there are no Redbox kiosks at McDonald’s in PA.
The only McDonalds Kiosks in OK is in OK CIty, which is a 2 hour drive for me. I guess I wont be using those free promo codes.
I just used the 6SN67S7 at Walgreen’s in Jacksonville,FL and it worked fine.
Yet another one for the “Wait, there are Redboxes at McDonald’s?” crowd. I never, _ever_ made the association that Redbox would be at McDonalds… when I saw “Show Only McDonald’s Locations” on the map, I thought… “lol wut?”. Only then did I learn about Redbox being started by McDonald’s, etc… so, no, it’s definitely not a taken-for-granted thing that Redbox is in every McDonald’s. ;)
Needless to say, no, I’ve never even seen a Redbox inside a McDonald’s, of all the hundreds of McDonald’s locations I’ve seen in the area. The only place to find a Redbox around here is at a grocery store!
On a slighly different note, has anyone ever been charged $2 when reserving a movie? $1 when you reserve it, then another $1 once you return it? I recently reserved Gran Torino on a Thursday, picked it up Friday, and returned it Saturday. There are two separate $1 charges on my credit card, the first being Thursday when I reserved it and the second oddly enough from Tuesday. Hopefully, this is just an error.
No it’s not an error. You reserved it on Thursday which meant you had till Friday @ 9pm to return it without being charged for a “second” night. You kept it till Saturday which was the “second” day. So you were charged correctly for 2 nights. When you reserve a movie it’s the same thing as picking it up from the kiosk at the time you reserved it, so you get charged immediately from the time you reserve the movie. You can’t reserve it and then wait 2 or 3 days to go pick it up and expect to be charged for only one night! No one else can rent that movie because you reserved it for yourself so it’s the same thing as if it’s not in the machine anymore. Hope this helps.

Hey ya might try it at a different redbox location.We have 2 different locations for them here where I live & sometimes if it does’nt work at one I go to the other one & try it.Wont hurt & it just might work so give it a try.If ya only have one location then I would definately get ahold of’em & see if they could give ya another code that would.Good luck!
If you tried that code on June 17th it would by invalid on that day because it was only valid June 15th and 16th. Just like another code RBXTHX46 just came on the code page and says this new code will only be valid June 22nd and 23rd.
Are you 100% sure the code will only work on june 22 and june 23 ?
I’m not sure at all as I’m not the one who got or shared the code. Just click on the comments for that code on the code page. I’m only going by what the person who got/sharing the code stated. HOWEVER, I do know when the code good only for June 15th and 16th was listed on the codes page as such, and I tried that code on June 14th, the kiosk said it was invalid. Then ON June 15th I tried it at the same kiosk, and it was a valid working code for me…. So I’m assuming if this is a valid code, it will only work on June 22 and 23rd as stated.
Just tried the RBXTHX46 at McDonalds and got “Invalid”. Got back home and checked the code list and it says the code is RBXTHXU6.
I guess I wasn’t paying attention lately. The code “REDBOX”, for first time card users, is no longer available. When did that get pulled? Chip out.
Chip, you need to pay attention! Knowing which codes are valid OR no longer valid is important business!!! The new-customer ‘REDBOX’ code became invalid a couple weeks ago…. seemed right after a bragging blogger with TECHnical skills was VOID of listening to everyone’s advice that Loose Lips Sink Ships!!!!
Sorry, rb. I’ve been experiencing technical difficulties with my web browser for several weeks now. I haven’t been able to log on to the inside redbox codes page…I kept getting this “download unknown file” alert, and would freeze-up. Michael helped me to straighten it out and fix it up. He’s cool like that. But the reason I posted that, is ’cause I got a new credit card and tried the “REDBOX” code yesterday, and it (the kiosk) said the code was not a valid promo code. That irked me, but I ended up using another promo code, so I was able to experience a “free movie”. Keep me in the loop, rb! Thanks, Pal. Chip out.

ahhh….the empty dvd case wouldn’t pop out/be vended in the first place for you to SEE because the kiosk computer has to scan an actual barcode of an actual dvd to vend it. No dvd=no barcode=no vending of an empty case!
Redbox does vend empty cases for $1. This is in case you lost your case and need to return a movie. In the past I have heard that promo codes do work for these, and indeed you could technically keep it forever. Don’t see why you would want to, though…

Michael, that’s right! Forgot you can BUY an empty dvd case if you lose the case from the dvd you’ve rented! Next time, I’ll PAY ATTENTION and look on the kiosk where the buy-empty-case- button is. Likewise, I’m not sure why one would want to buy OR use a promo code for an empty case if one doesn’t need an empty case though…. The reason for HP’s question will have me ‘thinking’ for awhile…. ……. …….
Can someone help me out with this question? I have a debit and a credit card, so I thought I could use a code with each one to get a free movie (= 2 free movies for each code). This worked with a couple codes (breakroom and the one that started with a 6).
Then a code went through the first part (rent with a promo code) but when I scanned my card it said promo code already used. Does this mean I used that particular code with the card I swiped or does that mean I had already used a promo code with that particular card? I was keeping track so I don’t think I had already used that code at all or with the card it said promo code used.
I forgot to ask if there are any tricks for getting the most free rentals.

The code *WAS* valid only on June 22, and valid at every Redbox. Whoever initially said it was good today was wrong.
