To accompany its official iPhone app, which recently received an update, Redbox has released a new app for Android devices. Engadget is reporting that functionality and appearance is the same for both apps, enabling users to locate nearby Redbox kiosks, browse kiosk inventory, reserve up to five titles at once, and plot a route to the nearest kiosk.
Have you used one of these apps, Insiders, and what has your experience been if so?

Also, if you’re interested in apps, don’t forget that Inside Redbox offers its own “Pro” app in the iTunes store that gives you access to the latest promo codes on the site and lets you view movie trailers, set up reminders to return rented movies, and much more.

I love the Redbox app in Android but they don’t have free codes, there are other apps but most of them show codes that no longer work. I would love to see the “Inside Redbox” app for Android. Do you know when it will be released? Thanks.
Good app and its free. Uses GPS to tell you the closest locations and will tell you what is available at that site. Perfect on the go tool to have.
I like the Redbox app, I have it for my iPod Touch. I’m hesitent to get the Inside Redbox app since it’s not free and I haven’t heard good things about it. Sorry.
I hate to say this because I was so excited when this App was released, but it’s worthless. It can’t Find a redbox for your selection as it always runs into Server errors, and you can’t add your credit card to it. It just errors out as “Something went wrong”. End of story. Every other App I have works fine, except this one.
I would much rather have a “Pro” Android app from “Inside Redbox”… Please??? Pretty Please???
watch.. android will overtake iphone in a little bit, thanks for showing us android users some love
+1 for seeing Inside Redbox Pro on Android!
I, too, always get server errors when trying to add my credit card information. Without said info, the app won’t let you reserve a movie, which seriously diminishes the appeal of this app. It works fine on my iTouch so why can’t redbox release an app for Android that’s bug-free?
