I’m impressed that Redbox is actually getting Ip Man. That is a fun film for fans of martial arts. Shouldn’t be considered a new release but it is well worth watching.
-“Green Zone”
Out of 28-day quarantine!
-“The Runaways”
Well acted, embellished biopic. Good reviews for Dakota Fanning and Kristen Stewart.
I might at some point check out Green Zone. I assume that The Runaways will be rented in my house. I hear Dakota Fanning and Kristen Stewert are actually good in it, which suprises me! Kristen Stewert is a horrible actress! Twilight proves this. “Um…uh…but….Edward….I, uh….”
I’ve seen Kristen Stewert in “The Cake Eaters” and the two Twilight DVD’s. Somewhat “wooden” acting in all three. Kristen Stewert seems to getting a lot better at acting in Runaways.
I wonder if Operation: Endgame is any good…
Might check that one out.
Green Zone is OK, but I wouldn’t call it great.
What’s interesting is that the street date for Operation End Game and IP man is July 27. Is redbox getting titles early now or are they breaking street date? Release date info provided by Ingram Entertainment.
VPD also gives the street date as July 27th, as does all the mass merchants. I believe somebody at redbox made a mistake in the release dates. I bet if you checked the machines, they won’t be there.
Currently they are available and stocked all over my area. Are these both from the same distributor, I wonder?
Interesting!
I looked both movies up on Amazon and it says they both come out July 27. It says, however, that they are from diffrent distributors. Operation Endgame is from Anchor Bay, while IP Man is from some company called Well Go USA
Just a quick point that I saw Redbox Blu-Rays in Minneapolis, Minnesota for the first time yesterday. $1.50 rental charge.
The three in the box are “Green Zone”, “Brooklyn’s Finest” and “From Paris with Love”. I’ve seen all three but I’d advise Blu-Ray “Green Zone” because of the elaborate sets and special effects. “Paris might be fun because of the explosions and scenery. Brooklyn’s is basically a talker so Blu-Ray doesn’t do much.
Interesting. One time a while ago I saw Valkerye on Blu-Ray in my Redbox but I’m assuming somebody must have rented it from a Redbox that had Blu-Rays (which are none near me) and returned it there
