RedAlert: Rent 2, Get 1 Free is Back

Up for a free code, Insiders? Redbox’s Summer Fun & Games rolls on with the return of its Rent 2, Get 1 Free promotion. When you rent two movies in the same transaction between now and July 31, Redbox will give you a free code good for a one-night DVD rental. Simply enter your email address at checkout or when you reserve online.

The free promo code will be emailed to you on August 1 and will be valid through August 14. Get complete details here.

    It would be great if they actually send you a free code. I’ve done it twice and didn’t receive any codes.

    I agree with Eagleeye601 I too rented movies in June when they said they
    were doing the same thing. You guessed it no free movie. I don’t
    believe you will get one this time. And yes my email was entered every time
    at the check out. I think this is not a good promo–

      Did you call Redbox or use their wonderful “chat” service online to talk to a representative about the missing code? I’ve found them to be VERY helpful and accommodating when I’ve called even though I haven’t had this specific problem.

    I also rented the 2 movies during the so called pro-mo period. However, I found out after renting them that the pro-mo started the next day. I also did the on-line pro-mo and though the link said I had 2 movies in my cart when I got to the kiosk they were not reserved and redbox had no record of my reservation. Sorry no free movies either time and I like a lot of you am a loyal user. I believe redbox thinks we have no other choices so they have no loyalty towards us. News flash-your kiosk is right next door to a vidio store woth great deals and they find the movies I like and sell them cheap. Redbox take notice you are a convience not a necessity.

    I have always received all my free movies from red box. Whether it be from my phone text, slurpee reward or buy2,get1 free promotion, I have received all my free codes. However, one time I didn’t receive my code and I emailed them and next day, I received a code that was good for a month. I probably used codes about 35-40 times.

    i got mine but didnt notice it at the bottom of the screen so i had to pay for my movies. read all the fine print! i have only recieved 2 free codes by text since i signed up 2-3 months ago :(.

    I’ve found them to be VERY helpful and accommodating when I’ve called even though I haven’t had this specific problem. :)

    It is August 1. I rented two movies but there is no email with a code for a free movie in my inbox.
