Inside Redbox is the #1 "Unofficial" Redbox Online Community for Redbox Codes, News and more. Inside Redbox is not affiliated with Redbox Automated Retail, LLC.

Judging by the responses to some of our Freebie Friday questions, our readers are a pretty savvy bunch when it comes to movie trivia. A new promotion from Redbox and SceneIt offering discount promo codes for correctly answering movie trivia questions should be right up your alley, Insiders. Details are after the jump.

Through February 5, 2012, you can earn one discount per day—up to $.50 per discount—by playing Redbox Movie Trivia. You’ll have 60 seconds to answer five questions, each of which is good for a ten-cent discount if answered correctly. After playing the game and getting your score, you’ll receive a discount promo code that is valid for five days at Redbox kiosks. Check out the game’s FAQ for more information.

Will you be putting your movie knowledge to the test and earning some discounted rentals, Insiders?

Yea, funny enough, my existing redbox username and password isn’t enough, We have to open a whole new “account” just to play the game…
    Translation:
They need more info to sell to 3rd party advertisers so they can call and spam you.. No thanks, I’d rather pay the dollar.

Really it’s amazing that they can send all these emails, but takes an act of congress to get thru.

The rental is only a buck. Half off is not an incentive. I’d rather play for a free code or for a chance to win the bluray or dvd. I’ll pass.

I tried with the new account I had to make, and couldn’t get it to come up. Won’t go through the effort again for a few cents.

Okay. that sucked!! You barely have time to read three questions. If you were to accually make it to the .50 off you would have to guess at most of them. Not worth the effot trying to get the questions right. What a waste of time.

Nope. I’m fine with paying a few dollars a month to see some movies. As said above, free codes or winning a DVD would be another story.

Really it’s not that bad. I think it was fun. I only needed to Change my password not email to play. I got all 5 with 11 sec to spare. It might only be a 50 cent discount bit as much as.I rent from Redbox anything helps. :)

I’m a movie buff and I know my stuff. I’m going to do it every day till it ends. 50 cents is 50 cents especially now rentals are $1.20. I’ll be able to rent a few Blu-Rays for the old price of DVDs.

    $0.30 not $0.50 [visitor]

It is $1.20 at the kiosk so max savings is $0.30.
