Bust mostly April showers
just bring new movies.
Get ready for an April deluge with hot new releases like these.
The month kicks off with a big old top secret bang. The Good Shepherd, tells the dramatic story of the birth of the CIA and what one agent sacrifices over the years to fulfill his missions. Matt Damon, Robert De Niro, Alec Baldwin and Angelina Jolie all star. (Redbox has no clue how a gang like that managed to keep their cover.)
Next up, Charlotte’s Web brings a beloved children’s tale to the big screen. When the adorable pig Wilbur puts two and two together, he hatches a plan with his pig pen pal, Charlotte the spider, to escape his bacon-y fate. A whole host of stars —lead by Julia Roberts, Steve Buscemi and Oprah Winfrey —lend their voices to the adorable barnyard cast.
Need a little encouragement to find your true passion? Look no farther than Jump In! Corbin Bleu stars as Izzy Daniels, a young boxer who aspires to follow his father’s footsteps and win the Golden Glove— that is, until a friend turns him onto the pastime of double dutch, and he jumps in with both feet. Paula Brancati and Allesandra Cannito also star.
Don’t forget these recommended titles from March. Select ‘em online, and grab them at any redbox location.
How about Happy Feet? It’s the animated story of a little penguin that could. Robin Williams, Elijah Wood, Hugh Jackman and more provide the voices as one special little penguin teaches his entire gang the value of learning to dance and cutting a little icy rug.
In Pursuit of Happyness, inspiration takes a more serious tone. Will Smith and son Jaden Smith star in the true story Chris Gardner, a salesman who wouldn’t give up until made it from the streets to the boardroom, setting the perfect example for his son.
Finally, don’t forget about Children of Men. When people have stopped having babies, it the future is naturally looking pretty drab. But when one English woman somehow gets pregnant, Clive Owen and Julianne Moore risk their own lives to ensure the survival of mankind. Not too shabby.
