Netflix has released its data on the performance of certain internet service providers in the countries it currently streams in.

S., the U.K., Ireland, Mexico, Norway, Sweden, Denmark, and Finland. Google Fiber topped the charts in not just the U.S., but everywhere else. Unfortunately, the nascent Google service is only available in a limited area currently. Sweden’s Ownit ISP came in second place.

Overall, Finland offers Netflixers the fastest average internet speed, while Mexico features the lowest.

    It’s interesting to note how ADSL compares to cable modem and fiber optic–it’s not as slow as ISPs contend, at least for NetFlix streaming.

      People with low-end DSL don’t stay Netflix members for long, unless they like looking at the “buffering, please wait” screen. If you want Netflix, you need to live in the right area and pay a bit more for a higher tier.
