TGIF! Every week on “Freebie Friday” we offer our readers an opportunity to win free prizes. This week we’re giving away 5-packs of free Redbox rentals to three lucky winners!

The fourth film in the Step Up dance movie series comes out this week, and that got us thinking about the great dance movies that have come out over the years. To enter this week’s contest, answer the following bat-question in the comments section below:

What is your favorite dance movie of all time?

There are the obvious choices like Dirty Dancing and Footloose. What about Strictly Ballroom, West Side Story, Flashdance, and many, many more?

On Monday the 30th we will pick three winners at random from the submitted comments. Each winner will receive five free Redbox rentals! Multiple comments will disqualify you, so please respond just once.

Good luck, Insiders!

Congratulations to our winners: Judianne, yvonne poole, and Penny! We’ll be in touch shortly about your prizes.

So many dance movies so little space. Fred Astaire and Ginger Rogers in Swing Time, Gene Kelly in Brigadoon and Xanadu with Olivia Newton John. Baryshnikov and Hines in White Nights. Truly awesome RENT, and My Fair Lady. Not to mention the animated features of Cinderella, Cats Can’t Dance, and Fantasia I and II! All time favorite has to be “A Chorus Line!” However, I could go on for pages and pages naming favorite scenes from a multitude of wonderful movies. Even Star Wars had a dance scene in the Catina!

My favorite would have to be step up, i didn’t realize how many different types of dance there were till i watched that movie. its the first movie i saw with channing tatum in it too and im a huge fan of him mainly from his character on step up. i love the story lines to how someone with nothing can accomplish there greatest dream if they work hard to, and anyone can fall in love no matter your background.

Mary Poppins when they’re dancing on the roof tops….sorry….had to go “old school” lol. Even though this movie was made before I was born…it was a favorite when I was a child. You can’t beat the singing and dancing….great choreography

When Anna dances with the King in ‘The King and I’ any version, I love how he is so awkward but learns quickly and sweeps her off her feet!

I loved Flashdance and the storyline about a female steelworker trying to make it big in the dance world by having the guts to try-out for entry into a prestigous dance academy,

No contest, White Knights. The blending of two totally different dance styles into a beautiful dance scene is magic for me. I have to force myself to concentrate on either Mikhail Baryshnikov or Gregory Hines. I usually end up watching the main dance scene 5 times everytime I watch the movie.
