Looks like an acceptable week for new releases: Law Abiding Citizen, Coco, Cabin Fever 2—probably will get 1 or more of these :-)

be neat if redbox would do it but THey never will… they get enough people paying normal prices… i would be more then happy to pay say

      13 for 1 at a time
      21 for 2 at a time
or 30 for 3 at a time per month

That would be great IF (1) Redbox had more to select from…by the time I weed out those I wouldn’t watch even if they were free… there’s maybe three or four…..and just try getting them….the machines are full of DVD’s that are weeks old and nobody wants.,….just taking up space that could be used for MORE COPIES of the new stuff.. by the time iut becomes available….I’ve either seen it at a friend’s pad…I’ve got it from another source….or I’ve lost interest. ( 2 ) Airhead parents allow their toddlers to handle the DVD’s….proudly proclaiming that ” It’s a learning experience…” when they come back…they are full of body fluids,..food, .. dirt and dog spit…so they skip and are unwatchable…

Four titles appear worthy of promo codes:

I guess these two are redbox’s tribute to black history month:

    -Good Hair Roadside Attractions
    -Black Dynamite Sony Pictures

    -Coco Before Chanel Sony Pictures
    -Law Abiding Citizen Sony Pictures

All releases *should* be available on Tuesday; but the weather might be a factor.

The Box and The Informant also come out this week, both Warner Bros. movies.

I will be renting Black Dynamite. Blaxpotation movies are always fun and this one looks especially funny.

I’m pretty sure Box and Informant come out next week. Also, I reserved Law Abiding Citizen because I think it’ll be the the most sought after today.

Still nothing on The Time Traveler’s Wife. This movie came out 2 weeks ago and still nothing on it. It’s advertised at The Kiosks yet none of them carry it. It’s not even listed on the movies on Redbox.com either.

I just gave Redbox a call and they said that they had planned to put The Time Traveler’s Wife into the Kiosks but it has been canceled and won’t be released.

This is why I think it would be best for Redbox customers if Redbox just agree to the studios’ 28 day delay and be able to keep their $1 rental price. Redbox wouldn’t have to keep going back and forth with its customers that they will get certain dvds, but then they don’t get them because they’re at odds with the studios. I think this uncertainty (and thus having customers keep checking their local kiosks for certain new releases over days/weeks) is making Redbox customers more annoyed with Redbox than if they just agree to the 28 day delay and Redbox customers would then be certain when ALL new releases will be available at their local kiosks. Also, Redbox would get a better selection of movies from the studios since Redbox would then be appeasing the studios by agreeing to the 28 day delay. Downfall would be if/when Redbox agrees to the 28 day delay but dvd sales are still low. This would make the studios realize that Redbox’s low rental price is not the reason for the decline in new release dvd sales. Then who would the studios blame?

30 day window works for places like netflix cause there have 1000s of movies you can stream and other movies to watch … This week alone

        halo legends
        red hook
        women in trouble
        ect ect ect

that redbox does not carry… so instead of just having 3 junk movies to pick from from redbox i can pick from 10+ on netflix…

Now if redbox went to a flat rate i could see or get more of the less know movies BUT the 28 day window when they only carry major titles will just kill redbox

Why cant they charge $2 for people actually willing to pay and then drop the price after a couple weeks?

Im through with red box. I’ll spend the extra $$ to gp to Block Buster so I don’t have to hear about a movie for 28 days before I can see it without knowing what the whole things about. RED BOX SUCKS111

Is there anyone that knows if: Cirque Du Freak: The Vampire’s Assistant, Wrong Side of Town, and Sorority Row will be in Redbox? It’s sort of difficult to figure out how to setup your queue as well as figure out which dvds you will get from where since the movie list isn’t updated till Monday. It would be great if this site was able to list the redbox movies at the latest on Sunday.

Release Date: February 23, 2010 ??• Sorority Row
      ????• 2012
      • Wrong Side of Town for next week that’s what it said in the E-mail

The Vampire’s assistant is Universal, so it’s highly unlikely that redbox will carry it due to such a small box office take.

Sorority Row is a Summit release, so they will probably have it.

Wrong Side of Town is a Lionsgate release, so they will have it.

The Informant & The Box are Warner releases. However, the agreement with Warner doesn’t begin until late March, so the jury is still out on wheator or not they will have them.
