As of 10:09 GMT Tuesday, November 3, 2009, Redbox’s website has the following *additional* releases:
-Casi Divas
THIS IS A SPANISH LANGUAGE FILM- EN ESPANOL
CASI DIVAS is a funny and heartfelt story of how four women begin as fierce competitors out to become stars, only to discover that together they can reach even greater heights.
Rated PG-13 by the Motion Picture Association of America for mature sexual content, language and thematic material. Widescreen.
-Hurricane in the Rose Garden
When a difference in culture leaves his Nigerian family and his headstrong bride at odds Joseph is left to smooth things over. But now an unexpected visit by his mother leaves everything in complete disarray. Will her demand for a grand child be the last straw that forces this newlywed couple to break family ties? Not Rated by the Motion Picture Association of America. Widescreen.
And for those of us wanting to rent certain movies, i.e. G.I. Joe, in the Omaha/Fremont area, we are part of the delayed release experiment. Redbox has fixed their software on the website to no longer show the movie as being available. That is unless you want to go across the river to Council Bluffs, or pick it up in Lincoln. Both of these nearby cities had multiple kiosks/copies available early this morning.
I will be glad when things settle down and there is some consistency.
A question I have for those who normally rent where G.I. Joe is available, did your email from Redbox include this movie as one of the new releases? Mine did not.
got to wonder if they are getting more copies or people are leaving redbox…. for the last 3 months (since i been using redbox) the main titles would all be gone in the 3 boxes close to me by 3 pm (if they are in that day)
its not almost 530pm and those 3 boxes still have Taking of 1 2 3 and GI joe still in stock ….
noticed last week ice age 3 was very easy to find as well (after weds)
ALSO TO NOTE A Local video store has dropped their rental rate down to 1.99 for the first night 99 cents each night after…. tie that in with buy 1 get 1 free coupons they are always tossing out … that brings the price right into redbox
2 movies for 2.00 and you dont even need a credit card… now the interesting thing here is this video store has charged 3.99 for a movie for the last 15 + years and never changed their prices…. they have to be hurting
More machines = more copies available to rent…. Redbox is not losing customers they are gaining more and more…. Redbox rented out 1.6 million dvds on Friday 11/6 which is a new one day record!
wow at least locally our redbox are getting like 25 new movies put in tuesday (well new to redbox) mostly 2 to 3 year old movies… they are getting like 2 or 3 new releases
