…..oh boy, more dime a dozen mass-produced junk, think I’ll pass.
I want to see Predators, my wife wants to see A Christmas Carol and my kids want to see The Last Airbender, so I guess it will be a busy week.
When I saw “Predators” on the list, it reminded me of my local Family Video’s outside sign for the last month that said “Predators”, We have it, Redbox doesn’t. Looks like they’ll have to brag about another box-office flop they have 28 days earlier than the ‘Box.
“A Christmas Carol” is the only one I really want to see, even if it is the 20th version of the film, not counting the TV episodes that also included a similar plot(“WKRP In Cincinnati” used Arthur “Big Guy” Carlson in the Scrooge role, and “Sanford and Son” used Fred G. Sanford in the Scrooge role, and I believe even Beavis and Butt-head even did an episode where Beavis played Scrooge).
Disney’s A Chirstmas Carol looks good to me; more awesome animation.

I saw “The Last Airbender” a few weeks ago and thought it was pretty weak. I guess for a $1 it would be worth it. I thought the casting was absolutely horrible and the plot was pretty thin. It also ended quite abruptly since nothing was really resolved. I don’t think they should have tried to break this story line into separate movies hoping it would be a hit. They should have condensed the plot and told the whole story in one movie.
Its just sad how badly the person who directed The last airbender career has become… he just always trys to do the same twist endings and people got sick of it.
im still waiting for a lawsuit on redbox with renting movies like Spliced (at least here at the local video stores you had to prove your over 18 to rent it)

Heads up at least around here PEOPLE with family video stores it seems they will combine coupons with there 1/2 off deal
I had 2 weeks free 1/2 deal and i had coupons for 99 cent new releases from another store.. They combined both and i was getting new releases for 49 cents

you can get 40 cents off coupon on ebay dirt cheap.. these coupons will TRIPLE to 1.20 off…
Locally a 3 pack of popcorn with 2 free codes cost 2.50 (1.30 after coupon)
A 6 pack of popcore cost 3.75 with 4 free codes (2.55 after coupon)
that is like getting movies out of redbox for 50 cents and the coupons dont expire till sometime in 2011 (i think may)
What Slidecage!!! Are you saying that all boxes of Orville Redenbacker popcorn now sold in grocery stores have Redbox codes? Are they on the inside of the boxes, and if so, does it say on the outside of the boxes that free Redbox codes are on the inside with purchase of the popcorn? Just asking because O.R.popcorn is going to be on sale at my Giant Eagle starting this thursday and I was thinking of buying some anyway. :-)
I saw some in Kmart with a free code. Appearently, it’s in the box.
The codes are printed on the inside of the boxes. Make sure to buy the specially marked “2 Free Redbox Codes Inside” boxes though!

I got 10x 40 cent coupons off ebay for 1.00 these coupons will triple at my local store for 1.20 off each box..
meaning i can grab
2 pack with 2 coupons for 1.30 or
6 pack with 4 coupons for 2.55
i could end up with
66 bags of popcorn and 44 codes for around 28 bucks

Found this out late and the sale ends today :-( Even without a coupon, this comes to 9 packs of Orville popcorn (yummy) with 6 free Redbox codes for a total of $5. Yesterday I ordered (10) 50/2 Orville coupons off ebay for a total of $1.39 shipped. My Kuhn and Giant Eagle doubles coupons, and a Orville 3pack will be on a bogo sale at G.Eagle starting Thursday which will come out to $1.60 a box, PLUS it is also part of a $catalina deal get a $3 catalina back for every 4 boxes. Nice callout with regards to the OR popcorn and codes. I’ll have to check that out. I’m also wondering about Cats and Dogs 2 as well. My kids would definitely get a kick out of seeing that over the Thanksgiving week.

I rented Predators but didn’t get to watch it yet. I really don’t want to see The Last Airbender (6% rating on Rotten Tomatoes!) but there’s a Rifftrax for it so I will have to see it. At least it will be made fun of.
@csr: No clue why it’s not available on Blu-Ray. Maybe they have a limit on Blu-Ray movies released each week.
funny thing is i got my coupons off ebay today for the 40cent off popcorn..
ran up to krogers (they triple coupons at least here) for 1.20 off…. of course all of the boxes no longer carry the REDBOX CODES.. i was able to dig though the six count and find 2 boxes with the codes.. I took them up to the counter and the worker looks and me and goes
Seems we missed a few of those boxes today….
seems they are pulling all of the boxes off the shelf until the coupon expires .
well at least i got my buck back…. paid 1 buck for 10 coupons was able to use 2 coupons tonight and it knocked 2.40 off …. hopefully i can find some good deals to use the other 8 on… might hit up another krogers tomorrow to see if i can find any others at least im sitting on 12 codes
