Another typical light week. “Hot Tub Time Machine” looks to be the only choice as a low-brow comedy for those might actually remember the 1980’s.

August 3rd’s releases are a little better: I think I’ll wait.

I’m looking forward to next Tuesday for The Ghost Writer, and The Prophet. Would consider Don’t Look Up for this week if could find some good reviews for it… Considering going to the $5 matinee movies this week to see Inception. Anyone see it yet; is it really as great as the reviews?

Inception was simply amazing you have to go watch it at least once just to see for yourself. At $5 its SO worth it, don’t even think twice.

Thanks for the reply :-) The reviews for Inception all seem to be consistently great– BUT then there’s those critics saying that it’s an okay movie, not a great one….and suggesting that there’s been so few even ‘good’ movies put out by the studios lately that in comparison, any ‘good’ movie seems ‘great’.

Which reminds me, they just had in the movie news that Hollywood is putting out its version of The Girl With The Dragon Tattoo–Dec. 2011 expected to be at the theaters. Ughh! I just hate when they take a quality foreign film and try to Hollywoodtize it! (Hollywoodtize–new word!) They’ll probably put Angelina Jolie in the lead and completely ruin it with glam. Don’t think anyone can top that Swedish actress’s performance who was the lead in the foreign version.

If we could just introduce the tatto girl to JS. She’d be able to set him straight for life.

And Daniel Craig is going to be in the Hollywoodized version. It has been confirmed at Comic-Con. And trust me… At $5 what have you got to lose with Inception?? Just go see it! If you liked it you will be glad you watched it at the theater. If you hate it… Ah well it was just $5. Also make sure you concentrate right from the first scene all the way to the end with Inception! It’s hard not to be totally engrossed, but just thought I’d tell you anyway!

Funny thing about that. I actually met Noomi Rapace several years ago when I was in Sweden visiting some industry friends. She seemed quite poised back then (I only briefly chatted with her) but I am glad to see she has come to international acclaim.

I’m soooooooooo jealous Slidecage. You have McDonalds that participate in Redbox code promotions! Well, I just had my first Strawberry/Banana Smoothie today but no free redbox code! It was even a McDonalds located inside a Walmart which has a Redbox kiosk inside. Sniffle…sniffle…

Do any of these codes work with Blu Rays? I don’t want DVDs. The only DVDs I would rent are those have not come out on Blu Ray. And those are like 3 movies. And I have already rented them all.
