Where is “The Tale of Despereaux” Is it not coming out on Redbox?

I actually added this one late because it is a Universal release, so we probably won’t see it in the boxes until late in the week. But, to be complete, I went ahead and put it in with the Tuesday releases.

Just saw it was released on Friday. Sounds like Disney and Redbox have some kind of deal going on, first with “Bolt” and now with “Bedtime Stories”.
Theres no deal between Disney and Redbox. Redbox got bolt and bedtime stories at the same time everybody else did. They were just early releases by Disney.

I tried reserving The Tale of Despereaux, The Day the Earth Stood Still, Doubt, and Yes Man. But when I tried to reserve Yes Man it said error Oops! Redbox Error Sorry, customer rental limit exceeded. So does that mean you can only rent out 3 movies at a time or is their only a limit on the number of reservations. I could of sworn I’ve rented more then 3 movies out at a time. Anyone got any information on this?

Yeah you can rent as many as you want but are limited to 3 reservations at a time.

Thanks everyone for the free codes I love Mondays and Weds. My kids ask every Monday What movie are we getting? Keep them coming. Where do people find new codes? Do you have to have connections with a Redbox worker?
you’re kidding, right? connections? The Monday code is not generated by THIS website, it is a code that Redbox sends out to ANYONE who took the time, went to the OFFICIAL Redbox website, and entered their cell-phone number. That’s it. Simple. No secret. No connections needed. There is no problem with sharing that code (that is what this website does). Same thing with the Wed. code. WHICH WAS ONLY OFFERED FOR THE MONTH OF MARCH (and first week of April). So, people aren’t “finding” new codes, they are using common sense and going to the OFFICIAL Redbox website and employing a little tactic called “reading”.

…and there is no code for Wed. please, people, go to the OFFICIAL Redbox website and read a little. The Wed. code was only for March (and the 1st week of April). Why do people think that this website generates codes? This website just copies and pastes the codes that Redbox makes available at their website, through their various features (the Mon. code requires you to enter your cell phone number, the Wed. code (in March) required you to read through their ‘redblog’ link…)

Not entirely true. you can just sign up to get the codes via email if you like. No cell “required”
I am talking about the features available at the REAL Redbox website. The Monday code is only available though your cell phone text. There is no code that Redbox sends to your email (except just for the very first time that you enter your email address). The Monday code is not sent to your email from the REAL Redbox website. It may be sent to your email from this website, but that is not an option at the REAL Redbox website.

I receive the code as a text via tracfone every Monday. When you go to Redbox to register, just pic a carrier (they don’t show tracfone) and look for a text message Monday late morning to early afternoon.

Someone who’s had some experience with this situation please answer this.
I always return my movie the next day on time, but lets say I kept one 5 days.
Would I see an additional $1 charge each day charged to my credit card or just a single additional charge for $4 when I returned it.
The reason I ask is if for some reason I did return it on time, but redbox says I didn’t return it, I wouldn’t even know there was a problem till I was billed $25 for the DVD that they say I didn’t return.
I ask for and usually get a ‘email receipt’ several days after I actually returned it, but not always.
you are right, you do not see any charges until after all discs from that rental transaction are returned (or after 25 days). It is simpler to track if you are just renting out one movie. Nothing is charged until that disc is returned ‘successfully’. You will not see $1 every day, just the total, be it $5 or $25. If you rented out, say, three movies at once, and return two of them the next day, but keep the third one a little longer, you will not see a ‘charge’ receipt until that third movie is returned.
Nothing is billed until all of the movies from that one rental transaction are returned, or not returned (25 days). Now, you will receive a ‘return’ receipt upon every every disc that is returned. If you return a movie and did not receive a return receipt, by the time you get home, CALL THEM IMMEDIATELY!!! The only opportunity that you have to enter your email address is at the time of rental. After you entered it once, it should always appear (assuming that you are using the same debit/credit card). If you do not enter your email address at the time of rental, there is absolutely no other way for you to verify that your disc was returned (barring calling them at customer service to verify).
You should receive three email receipts for each rental : the rental receipt (I did have one once that came 10 hours after my rental), a return receipt (those should occur immediately upon returning), and a charge/billing receipt (which usually occurs within 24 hours of returning).
Just because you have put a movie in the machine, and it took it, DO NOT THINK THAT THAT IS A SUCCESSFUL RETURN!!!. The machines have been known to spit a movie back out. Wait at the machine until you receive the ‘successful return’ message on the screen. Do not give your movies to a friend or child to return, they may not be familiar with the specifics of the return process.
People need to stop thinking of the movies as being $1. Those movies should represent $25 to you. Would you Deposit $25 into an ATM and just drive/walk away the instant that the ATM started to take it in? Or would sit and wait to verify that your deposit processed? Think of the movies that way, and you will act responsibly to make sure that you never see a $25 charge a month later.

In the 4 or 5 weeks that I’ve been using REDBOX, I was careless with receipts they sent, ….just deleted them.
Now I have a email folder that I keep all that stuff in to track things better.
I have never received a receipt the same day I returned a movie, sometimes it’s two or three days later!
I certainly hope by bad habits early on don’t come back to haunt me because I didn’t keep track!
