So, I have spent the last few weeks in Las Vegas with family, and had my first experience using a Redbox down here.
It is a different experience renting a dvd here, as the Redbox kiosk is different from the ones I have used in Salt Lake. I should clarify and say that the Redbox I personally used (inside a Smith’s grocery store) was different. The machine is much less sophisticated, doesn’t offer the ability to use promo codes for free dvd rentals, doesn’t email receipts, etc… Also, I noticed that the new releases don’t get here for quite some time, as ‘The Island’ and ‘Bad News Bears’ just arrived yesterday.
Anyway, this got me thinking if there are many different types of Redbox kiosks out there… So, let me know what your Redbox looks like. I am assuming the standard one is like the one in the picture at the top of this page. If yours is different, let us know.
When I get back to Salt Lake next week, I will be giving more information.
Also, thanks to all of you who are posting free dvd rental codes. There are now over 25 codes posted in the Redbox codes section. So, make sure you bookmark this site and get as many free rentals as possible.
