Does that mean Moviecube will no longer be in the Kroger stores? At least in my area that’s what’s in the Kroger stores.

All the Kroger locations in Springfield, OH got rid of the Moviecube machines at the end of April. We have 5 Kroger locations here so if Redbox comes to those stores we will have 15 RB kiosks in Springfield alone.

I would LOVE if Redbox replaced the MovieCube at our Kroger!! MovieCube is so slow and it’s broken half the time. And I can never use the free codes for Redbox! This is great news! :D

Near me I already have a Redbox at the Thornton’s on the corner, the McDonald’s 2 doors down and now in the Kroger across the street. It may sound like over-saturation, but I have seen pretty long lines at both the existing 2 locations at the same time…Especially when I am trying to return a movie right at 9:00 and someone is “browsing”….makes me want to say, “reserve online and save time for everyone!”

A few months ago a local store that is part of the Kroger family removed their MovieCube rental machine (well, they were in return only mode in anticipation of them being yanked). One of the employees told me they were going to get Redbox machines instead. After several months, they still don’t have any Redbox machines. It appears from this announcement they really are going to get one, but it may take some time before it becomes reality. It is always nice to have additional locations to try and track down that must have movie or the now scarce promo code.

In Colorado Krogers owns City Market and King Soopers Stores. Will that mean that we get Redboxes in those stores?
