I don’t see RedBox being around in a year are two…
They are just doing the same things over and over…
And not much to offer. I will give them a year. And if things don’t get better for them. They may go the way Block Buster did. Yes! It can happen..

I average about 1 code a week. Some weeks none, then the next week 2 or 3.

Get plenty of codes through email. Aren’t enough good movies that I have to watch to bother with texts. Probably better for families.

I don’t text (no I-Phone!! still not into 21st century!!), but why don’t I get them on my email??? Really hoping a previous remark doesn’t happen: Redbox gone in a year!!
I really enjoy renting from Redbox and it isn’t THEIR fault that there hasn’t been good movies, complain to the movie industry for that!!

Seems like everytime Redbox has a “promo” I always get it too late to be able to use it! I do get the promos, but most times it’s late evening or the day after the promo expires!!!

I don’t text either, Tini, and when I complained before this site told me that certain promotions are text only but stay tuned and they will have other promotions. Still have not seen any promotions up to the level of the text only promotions. Inside Redbox must be getting a hell of a kickback from the phone companies. As for me if we don’t see any promotions for the rest of us. Then I won’t lament Redboxe’s passing. I still see restricted promotions as unfair when they are not offering any alternatives.

I like Redbox very much. It’s the only way I can get new released movies without buying them. With Netflix I’ve waited as long as 3 months after the DVD is released. As far as free Redbox DVDs with codes I’ve had very good luck .
Some codes allow you to check out 5 DVDs/Credit Card account.

I see people complain about the lack of good movies, but RedBox serves up mostly new releases. So if there aren’t good movies, is that their fault?

It’s a double-edged sword. If they replaced some of the brand new movies that aren’t very good, people would complain they don’t have any new content.

Keep in mind people this is a cutthroat business. And RedBox need’s to get real cutthroat if they want to make it. This Qr is going to be very bad for them. They are going to take a wright off, big loss, on the streaming shut down. Yes they may get most of it as a business tax wright off loss. But still it will hit them.
Verizon it will be pocket change to them.
RedBox will need to really do something and soon.
NetFlix and Amazon have things covered very well.
I hope RedBox can come up with something.
The ship is starting to sink.

Most of the comments lament the reduction of free rentals. It’s time to pay for a rental once in a while: Do you lament the concept that you can’t get a free steak every week from your local supermarket?
