On another note. I have noticed a few redbox locations are starting to sell some of their stock for $5.00 out of the machines. These are mostly in the Southwest Virginia area.
Redbox has been selling stock from their machies for many years now. There are some restrictions with studios as well as stores where they are located that prevent Redbox from selling in certain areas. Perhaps your area just opened up to that?

Yeah, I have tried that in the past and never had any luck with Redbox SMS working with Google Voice.

I wonder if they are doing it based on how often you rent. My family rents fairly often so maybe those that rent less are getting the better offer.

I received $1.00 off. and i have not PAID for a redbox rental in months, at least not this year, so i doubt it has anything to do with how much money they make off ya.
I got the $1.50 off. And I dunno Jamie, my family rents fairly often. Friday nights are family movie nights and we get movies during the week occasionally for my husband and me to watch. They’re probably just spitting out random amounts.

@Jamie–I think the amount is random, as they only have my email address, not my cell phone number, to see how often we rent movies from then. Keep trying, and remember–they didn’t have to offer us any codes for $ off!!

Hi, I just tried it and received a message that Cricket is not participating in this event at this time!!!!!!! There are several hundreds of thousands Cricket Customers throughout the United States who are also RedBox Customers. Are you saying that none of us can use this promotion? That seems preposterous. Please Help!
