But, what if you already liked it? Do you still get rewarded?

I was able to obtain a code, even though I had already liked Redbox. I just signed into Facebook first, and the Like button on the page was already depressed.

I am going around in circles. I followed all instructions and still don’t have
a free redbox code. What is going on? I clicked “I Like” redbox. but received
    nada, zilch.

After you click “Like”, you are then suppose to click on the button that says something like “Give me my free code” or “Free Movie” any way there is another sentence to click on. GL Hope this helps.

I think most problems were because of incompatible browser issues, especially if you are browing in secured mode (if it says https in the URL instead of just http). Many people were encouraged to use secure browsing on Facebook.

Shut secured browsing off, or just log in with another browser (Firefox or Chrome).

Facebook — like it or hate it, whatever. This site is called “inside redbox” so that those of us that use it can find out what good deals are available.

Since I already have a fb account I logged in and click the “Free movie” or “Give me a free movie” whatever the second sentence was and I got my free promo. Yeah it may only be $1, but for every $1 I save from my movies, I end up with more money to put gas in my ride. And at the price of gas now, Who couldn’t handles saving a few bucks? I am always going to the redbox and renting the max number of movies. THX REDBOX!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

This is great. I don’t care about the money i’ll be saving ($1) + tax. I love spending quality time with my family. I think you’ll loose more not to spend it with your loved ones. This is a great way to make other people reunite or continue with spending quality time with your family or just by urself. But yeah, for every dollar u stretch, u can put it in your car as gas or a gallon of milk. It does add up. So, who ever is complaining, if u have nothing good to say, don’t say it. It’s better that way.

B******* Redbox, you want to harrass those on my Facebook friends just to give me a free $ movie. Shame on you.

I thought those who said book Facebook and the other negative comments were being silly but now that I see what Redbox is trying to do I say BS TO YOU REDBOX.

If you already have a Facebook account and have already “liked”
    RedBox (like most of us),
It won’t give you a code,
but, I did notice that it still shares the information
    from your Facebook account;
(It opens up a new java script window
that continues to repeat itself, like a virus will do)
Very crafty that they do not tell you this!

My goodness, take a minute to actually READ the original message. It’s very clearly explained.
Yes, you do get code if you already have a FB account as I do, (I play Pogo games on it).
You do NOT have to give real name, address or anything else. Just make sure you write everything down and save it.
Use a free email account such as Gmail or Yahoo.
Whatever info you do enter on FB can be set to completely private. I haven’t had one bit of problems that way.

I’m not pushing FB at anyone, but it’s so interesting how people can bash FB, (and especially Redbox), when they don’t know what they’re talking or writing about.

Redbox is the BEST thing to come along in ages, especially in this economy!
What else can you buy or do for $1.10 or $1.50??? Geesh, candy cost that much!
If you have gone to a movie lately, I bet you dropped an easy $30. for 2 people.
Thirty dollars fills my gas tank!

Also, you can “unlike” Redbox immediately after you get your code, and it’s your choice if you allow the message about the offer to be posted to your profile. It isn’t going to spam your friends!

The majority of users on this page come across as rather dim.

Ah once again Redbox promo code special starts off with a major FAIL.

Excited to get a free code I drove 10 miles out of my way to pick up a flick for the kids. I get there find the movie is still there. Rent it and try to enter my promo code. And what did I get in return, invalid code. Did I enter it incorrectly, no.

So off to work I go, empty handed. Log into facebook and find the offer page. Pull up my code again, and I had written it down correctly. Go to the comments section and find, what?!, several posts out there with the same issue.

I read through the fine print on the offer to make sure of the valid date and time, 12:01am to 11:59pm on 5/12. Should be good to go.

Now how will Redbox deal with this…

Have a good one, but wait til later in the day to try your code.

Called Redbox and found out all codes generated on facebook appear to not work. So they will issue you a new code good for a longer period of time than the one day code.

      Happy phoning.

Has anyone had fraud on there credit cards used at Redbox? I know about that devices can be put on redbox machines and I look out for them. I have had fraud twice in the last three months on 2 cards that I used to reserve Redbox movies online. One of the cards was only used for Redbox. I am wondering if one of the Redbox employees is stealing credit card info. I am in the IT business and my computers are scanned daily with the latest virus and malware prevention software.

See the 2 codes I added to Redbox code section–2txgrq7 and 43w362. Each was suppose to be a unique code for today only, may 12th, but was able to use each code multi times. The 2txgrq7 code I found on another site; the other one mine. I’m thinking since so many unique codes failed for redbox customers today, that maybe Redbox just programed all the unique today- only codes to work as multi codes???? Have no idea, unless I was just lucky!!!

Sucks that some are having problems. Never had one problem with a code in Atlanta area and been using for many years; maybe it’s a kiosk problem. My brother and I both got a code off Facebook last night, and it worked fine. My Flash, Firefox and plugins are all updated, and never had any computer problems so maybe I’ve been lucky.
Also never had any fraud issues, but have only reserved Blockbuster express online. Hope you figure it out.
