Netflix Raising Prices Again

Ready to pay a little more for the privilege of watching Netflix? We hope so, because another Netflix price increase is coming your way. Details are after the jump.

While Netflix’s basic plan will stay the same price at $7.99 per month, Netflix’s middle pricing tier, which allows subscribers to watch content on two screen simultaneously, will be going up $1 per month to $10.99. Netflix’s top-tier plan that includes 4K streaming and viewing on up to four devices will jump up $2 per month to $13.99.

New subscribers are already paying the higher price. Beginning October 19, current subscribers will receive notification that their service charge will be going up.

A spokesperson for Netflix justified the price increase thusly:

“From time to time, Netflix plans and pricing are adjusted as we add more exclusive TV shows and movies, introduce new product features and improve the overall Netflix experience to help members find something great to watch even faster,”

What say you, Insiders? Is an extra buck or two a month a deal-breaker for your Netflix subscription?

I think this is too soon after the last increase. They need to better manage their spending. Also there isn’t enough content I like to justify this. Almost to the point now of putting my account on hold

I don’t like paying more for anything, but Netflix, in my opinion is still worth the extra fee.
