Netflix Partners with Virgin America

imagesDo you love Netflix so much you want to take it up in the clouds with you? Virgin America airlines has joined forces with Netflix to offer free Wi-Fi to Netflix subscribers.

If you are a Netflix subscriber flying on Virgin America’s new ViaSat Wi-Fi-equipped planes, you will be able to access unlimited Netflix streaming on your device. The service will come at no cost through March 2 of next year, after which viewers will be subjected to a Wi-Fi usage fee.

Bill Holmes, Netflix’s global head of business development, said the following about the new partnership:

“As Wi-Fi becomes more ubiquitous, it’s going to be increasingly possible for members to enjoy Netflix wherever they want . . . We’re delighted to partner with Virgin America to extend the joy of Netflix to our members at 35,000 feet.”

Will you be signing into Netflix the next time you fly Virgin America?
