Hi Susan, Right now Redbox is only offering freebie codes for Mondays. The extra code on Wednesday was an EXTRA special offer just for the month of May. (I’m a fellow customer not affiliated with Redbox or InsideRedbox so I don’t know if they will offer Wednesdays again in the future. I hope so!)

Thanks. That answers my question. We just used today’s code for The Bucket List. That’s a must see for anyone, especially those of us on the higher side of 50. I have already started MY Bucket list.

The monday code for the redbox on June 23rd did not work at the Yorkville, IL 60560. Jewel redbox machine. It is not like it is a big deal, but if you are going to advertise for a free rental than redbox should make sure the code works. Just a thought.

Hi Kim, It’s too bad the code didn’t work for you, but it DID work for many, MANY other people across the country. I don’t know what you expect from this website (something independent for from the official Redbox site) but as for “making sure the code works” I’m sure the owner of this site doesn’t have to time or resources to fly around the country and visit every Redbox location in the nation to make sure the codes work for everybody. You could always sign up to get the code directly from Redbox just like I and the owner of this website did. I don’t understand what some people expect for free.

Since the vast majority of the messages here are NOT complaining that the code didn’t work, maybe YOU should double check to make sure you entered it properly (didn’t enter U instead of V, etc.)

      Just a thought.

How do you get it from the source Not that I mind comming here. I LOVE all the codes and tell everyone in line.

If you got to http://www.redbox.com you can sign up to have the codes texted to you. Mind you, I signed up almost a month ago and today was the first time I received the codes. I chose to cancel the texts, since I get the emails from HERE free. I am one of the people that takes it on paper, along with THIS web addy, and I hand it out to people in line. Every trip to redbox I introduce someone new to the codes and to this website.

Wow, Ang’s message was almost identical to what I usually post!

Go to Redbox’s website and click the link that says “Get a free rental.” Fill out the information under “Join the SMS Network” and the codes will be sent directly to your cell phone. Hopefully. Eventually. It took over a month before I got my first code.

I’ve only been using Redbox for a month and I’m already fed up with it. I live in Orlando, in a major city, not 30 miles from a traffic light. But every Redbox location in the area has only one machine. Who cares right? It’s free right? (basically)…

Every location has a line at least 10 people long, sometimes 15+ going out the door. Of course everyone has their loud kids, is shouting in various languages, and nobody knows what they want to watch or what the machine holds. I drove by three locations tonight to rent a movie, each with lines of 10-15 and blocking the entry.

I refuse to stand in line for 45 minutes, surrounded by yelling in languages I don’t speak, with kids running into me constantly, just for a $1 or free movie.

Tonight I eventually went to Blockbuster and was in-and-out in less than 5 minutes. My 40 minutes and stress-free rental is worth the extra couple bucks. I hope Redbox is better where you live, because the experience is horrible here.

Yeah the line here doesnt get much more then 5 people and is usually shorter then that. Thats why its worth it for me :)

Redbox monitors how many movies are being rented daily, weekly, or monthly. The redbox that I rented from is very busy especially after work and on weekend. They just added a second redbox machine in the store. My suggestion is to rent late or eary in the morning to beat the rush.

Ive never had a problem here in indianapolis, usually not a line at all! Most of the time i can walk right up to the machine – The longest ive ever had to wait is through maybe two people. Given, there is a redbox at every other store, along with other dollar movie machines like krogers and such.

Wow, how miserable. I think I’ve seen 2 separate parties waiting in line ONCE. The other 999 times I was the only person there.

But I have walked up behind a couple who were reading the description for every DVD. I got bored waiting for them so I figured I’d just drop back by after I ate dinner. ONE HOUR later, the dopes were STILL there trying to pick a movie!

Another time there was a gaggle of teenage girls trying to come to a consensus on what to watch. I think they had 3 people on cell phones trying to get help.

Thankfully, there are nearly as many Redbox locations as there are fire hydrants in Oklahoma City so I never have really have to wait – I just drive an extra mile away.

I fully agree with an earlier post that said “avoid prime time.” From 5 until 8pm is the busiest. And if you don’t want to miss the new releases on Tuesday, stop by on your way to work or at lunch. I’ll almost guarantee you will eve be able to get the blockbusters on Day 1.

Hey, you live in Orlando. You should be used to waiting in lines.

LOL thats a good one!! Hahaa ohh I’m gonna have to use that sometime. Yeah there actually are always lines for stuff, kinda bizarre. I travel a good bit, and I can say with honesty that Orlando is pretty bad in many ways. Fun to visit, bad to live… like many vacation spots, I suppose. I’m moving back to the beach soon anyways.

I signed up at the redbox site and got a text yesterday with the same code that was put up here and it didn’t work for me either. Luray, VA 22835. I’m not complaining about this site at all i’m just saying that it didn’t work here. :) But i found another one from the site that did! YEAH! So thank you for everything that you all do!

if your talking about the emails from here the average code sent via email is the monday only code and is only valid till midnight (apparently east coast time) also you should read the failed code message, if it says something like unable to proccess code then that means your redbox has temporarilly lost its connection with the rest of redbox and during that time no codes will be accepted period.

Thank you so much for the code.

    I have a question.

Can I use 2 different codes on the same credit card to get 2 free movies on the same day or can you only get one free movies a day ?
