    It depends. If the stock goes down, you still pay tax on the options. But, usually, the big shots bail as they know the stock is going under first. With such a tie to stock prices for income, they cook the books to raise stock prices. Watch the documentary on Enron. The stock market is now 18,000 and I won’t invest a dime. I kept 36 shares of Prudential Investment that I paid $36, went to $100 and is now $89. Just when do I sell? I would only invest if I was a CEO of a company. There is really no way to evaluate a stock.
