Redbox Update – What do you like?

Here we are again, another new movie Tuesday. I am excited to see more TV shows in the box this week. It is good to know Redbox is listening. I do hope to get some better shows in there, though.

QUESTION OF THE WEEK

Last week’s question about including games in the Redbox got quite the response. Seems that everyone is split on that idea. I look forward to seeing what Redbox will do about it.

This week’s question is a bit different: I want to know what you like…

What is your favorite genre (Drama, Action, Comedy, etc…) of movie to watch?

Click here and scroll down to the bottom to answer…

NEW RELEASES THIS WEEK

Like I mentioned before, its nice to see more TV shows in the box. There are now 5 total in the box.

Movies: She’s the Man, ATL, Road House 2, Subject Two, Sponge Bob: Karate Island.
TV: Entourage: 2nd Season, Night Stalker: Complete Series

If you have seen any of these, tell us what you thought in the Redbox Movie Forum.

REDBOX CODES

Many codes are working right now, so visit the Redbox Codes page to get your free dvd fix for the week.

Also, user ‘blakeops’ reports that his usage of codes was reset this past week, allowing him to reuse all of his previously used codes. It’s worth a shot, so give it a try and let us know if the same is true for you. Click here to report your findings…

That’s it for the week. I am keeping it short and sweet this week so you can get back to enjoying your summer.

Have a great week!

Drama…at least that’s what the movie industry tends to call them. The more twisted ones though such as Requiem for a Dream, Donnie Darko, Cecil B. Demented, Lost Highway, etc.

The kind of dramas where when you tell somebody about it you don’t go “it’s a lot like *insert other movie name*” and instead you go “I don’t know what to compare it to, it’s just really good.” You know?

I like Sci-fi, but there are way too many vampire movies now-a-days.
Oprah took up way too many slots! If they had put in “24” Season Two instead, I would have been thrilled!

I enjoy a good romantic comedy, like Sleepless in Seattle or You’ve Got Mail. But lately I have had a interest in Pirates!

I love a good suspenseful, psychological drama…or a goofy comedy, depending on mood. We DO have 2 kids, 8 and 5; mor family friendly movies would be lovely. Almost rented She’s The Man tonight- they love Amanda Bynes (as do I), however, PG-13? Had really adult themes…c’mon!!!!

I’m also out of the St. Louis market…

To go along with the code reset, I tried renting all three discs of Entourage, She’s the Man, and Road House 2. I was told that I exceeded my rental limit of 3 because I was a new renter, which is definitely not the case. I can recall renting up to four at a time in the past. So if Redbox didn’t recognize that I’ve been a previous renter, I don’t see how it could recognize that I’ve used any codes.

Romantic comedies – RedBox needs way more romantic comedies! I don’t like all the documentaries that are taking up most of the space at my RedBox.

I am all over the romantic comedies. Although I do love a little suspense too. Not so much into the sci-fi stuff. Family friendly is always good too, especially since we’ve got little ones running around and they like to repeat everything they see and hear.

Family friendly and PG movies that the whole family can watch! These can be romantic, comedies, t.v. shows, etc. Keep them coming!!

Love movies that have a great story, that are well edited and don’t leave you going “huh”–any genre is okay if the director can pull it together—and if a little can be left to the imagination in terms of language and violence–all the better

    Examples

    Field of Dreams
In Her Shoes (there was a little huh in there)
    Double Jeopardy
    What Lies Beneath

Exception–foreign films –just not my thing, yet

It’s to bad that some people put in false codes that never work in the first place just to waste other peoples time for a joke. I wish there was a way to weed them out to band them from this site!
