The streaming giant is set to have 20 percent of its global subscriber base in Europe by 2015.

The report comes from research firm IHS, which projects that market launches in Germany, France, and other European nations alongside heavy growth in countries in which it already operates will give Netflix a huge boost on the continent.

Richard Broughton, director of broadband analysis with IHS Technology, said the following about Netflix’s projected growth:

“Between the expansion and its growing popularity in markets such as the U.K., Ireland, Netherlands and Scandinavia, we anticipate that the company will add a total of eight million new subscribers to its European tally by the end of 2018,”

Should other SVOD providers just wave the white flag now, both in the States and abroad?

NetFlix will take over and have a good 75% of the market..
The only draw back right now is. Netflix will lose a good many TV shows and Movies that Warner Bros has the rights to. Over the next few years. As Warner will not be renewing them with Netflix. But that will be no big deal. As Warner Bros has there own online deal going now. $9.99 a month + tax…
And it’s just like NetFlix online. And it has CC for the people that need it. (Like Me).
NetFlix will be the king of the online Movies and Tv shows.
The Only thing people will need to watch. As the Caps on the Net Use will kick in as soon as Comcast takes over Time Warner Cable.. when they kick in. Everyone will start the caps and fast lane bit.. Then the Online Movie watching will take a hit…..

The problem with this logic is if all the movie studios want to develop their own streaming network, then we are right back in the same situation where we are paying big fees again to watch TV. If Netflix becomes more diverse and obtains current content, I would be willing to pay up to $15/month tops. Any higher than that & I’ll drop them. TV isn’t that important to me.

You are so right…. But it’s starting to happen..
Warner Bro’s has started there own streaming deal. And has said they will not be renewing over 500 things with NetFlix.
It will not be long until more studios have there own streaming deals.
And we will be right back a A.
      And on it goes!
