The BR rental should be at $1. They need to roll out more BR Discs and make info available on the website as well. I would like to see what is available before I drive to red box.

I wrote them an e-mail just asking for Blu-ray in my area. My mom and I didn’t want to wait any longer and signed up for a month for one of those 2 out at a time specials @ Blockbuster just to see some stuff in this format. We are gonna use Redbox for codes and stuff not out in the format for now, but they have gotta catch up soon!

talked with a Redbox employee installing an additional kiosk at my local Farm Fresh…asked about BluRay…she said won’t be available in our market, Virginia Beach,….bummer…

We have blu-ray in San Diego, as another said.
The main bummer about it is that you can’t reserve titles in blu-ray with the online rental service. I emailed them about that, doesn’t seem like it would be that hard, but they said something about not being able to do that and still working on it. Oh well.

Sucks to reserve a movie, go to pick it up and see that the blu-ray version is available.

Actually ALL game and DVD (Blu-Ray and regular) rentals at our local Blockbuster are $0.99 a night, including new releases. Unfortunately, we have recently discovered that meant a drastic reduction in store hours though as well. You do not have to believe me, but like most businesses, Blockbuster doe what it has to stay competitive. We have other video stores in the area that rent for similar prices, so in order for Blockbuster to compete, they charge $0.99/night.

I’d gladly pay $1.50 or less. $2 per night is pushing it when Blockbuster is only $4.80 for a week at least in Utah. I don’t see why they need to raise the price much at all for blu-ray. It seems more likely that a blu-ray rental would be $1.10 or 1.25 per day.

My redbox in Tampa FL has Blu ray movies
and it’s the same price as a DVD.
But you can’t see them online or reserve them online yet.

San Diego has Blue-Ray. Usually the only good title that comes out every week. They’ve been around since 1/09. They go quick so you have to get them in the am. How bout they charge $2 off the bat then $1 every night after.
