At least their website has Bluray under their Genre section, although no movie is available yet.

Why won’t somebody start with a Bluray only concept similar to Redbox. It could be called Blubox….

I rented a movie tonight and the machine said something about some titles being blu ray but it did not specify which ones…I tried to figure out which ones were, and could not, so I went ahead and rented my movie and of course it came out being a blu ray disc. Does anyone know if there is supposed to be a way to know if it is a blu ray disc before you rent it? Because the machine I was using did not specify which ones were or were not.

The one at the WalMart Neighborhood Market at the corner of Colonial Drive and Apopka-Vineland outside of Orlando has a ton of Blu-Rays and they are real Blu-Rays. Watched The Fifth Element yesterday and have The Mummy today, right clicking on properties showed The Fifth Element to be 38GB and the Mummy to be 35GB, so they are definitely Blu-Ray disks, plus the have the Blu-Ray directory structure and the data is stored in m2ts files not VOB files, so yes they are real Blu-Ray disks.

Really? You are sure it is truly a Blu-ray disc? I have heard reports that some have seen it say Blu-ray, but dispense a regular DVD.

Can anyone else confirm this?

Mostly at Smith’s and Walmart’s throughout the city. and Yeah would be nice to Check out B-D discs. oh well maybe one of these days.

What they should do is have a message come up when you’re renting a blu-ray to let people know that it won’t play on their dvd player, like the rated R message. My friends in retail still get way too many angry customers complaining about blurays they bought that wont play cause they dont have a player.

Gabe, what store you seen them at? I attend UNM so am in ABQ for a lot of the year, a little bluray action would be nice.
