Looks like it is a slow movie week this week. There are only a couple of independent releases, but they actually look pretty interesting. Check ‘em out…

Kite Runner [PG-13] [watch trailer]

Starring: Khalid Abdalla, Homayoun Ershadi

Outlaw Trail [PG] [watch trailer]

Big disappointment with the lack of new releases. I thought The Mist would be available Tuesday morning. Some other releases that never made it to Redbox, Awake, Return to House on Haunted Hill, and 4 of the 8 Horrorfest movies to die for.

The Mist definitely should have been included. They could have done without any of the horrorfest releases though ;). I’ve rented the 3 I’ve found at local RBXs and they were all crap. I had the highest hopes for Mulberry St., it seemed to get the highest reviews @ Amazon, and it was the worst horrorfest release I’ve ever seen, hands down.

I stopped getting the new release emails from Redbox, but they always had a free code at the bottom, or has that been discontinued.

  4. Chris Says:

I received an email from Blockbuster that said “rent The Mist exclusively from Blockbuster.” I guess that’s why Redbox didn’t stock it this week.

New release! ! ! ! ! I saw Kite Runner three weeks ago! Maybe they should change the name from New Release to “Finally Available”!

  6. Mary Says:

I have been tring to get Elizabeth for weeks and it is never available . Why don`t you have it at more than one location in town. Texarkana texas

A good tip was with each credit card you can use the code redbox for the first time you use your card then use breakroom, thanks, dvdonme, and so on. The codes with mc in the front work at mcdonalds only.
