Not a “new” release but one thing I would steer clear from is Army of the Dead. I rented it for free (thx!) and I still wanted my money back :)

I watched Bucket List. I liked it, very touching and well acted. Jumper was a waste of time, didn’t make sense and was just full of special effects.

You misspelled the name of one of the movies! It’s “The Other Boleyn Girl”. You’ve got an extra “n”.

I had to go to Blockbuster to rent “Funny Games”. Too bad it was not at my local Redbox. Also, Savages, starring Philip Seymour Hoffman was not available via Redbox but looks like a good new release. I guess all the spots were reserved for “Trailer Park Boys” and “Witless Protection”

I saw Bucket List last night. It was quite good, although not the type of movie I’m likely to watch more than once.

I was a bit underwhelmed by Jumper when I saw it in the theater. It seemed like a prequel to another movie, or maybe the adaptation of the first of a series of books. It turns out it was (very loosely) based on a book by the same name. Another book was written as a movie tie-in, but it had almost nothing to do with the movie either. It is called “Jumper: Griffin’s Story” and it’s actually pretty good (but NOT for kids, although it’s apparently being marketed as such). Now that I’ve read the Griffin’s Story book (I couldn’t find the original one) I think I’d like to see the movie again.

DVD PLAY has Savages and Funny Games, at least they do in Houston. DVD Play is found in Safeway stores.

I was disapointed in Bucket List. Too heavy I think. It looked more upbeat.
