I’m going to watch DEVIL & WALL STREET: MONEY NEVER SLEEPS.

OOPS! Sorry, they’re not available at Redbox until January 18th.

Don’t be sorry. That’s okay. Have plenty of other movies to watch before January 18th. Think I’ll watch Salt and Easy A this week. (And yes, I know you’re ‘sorry’ wasn’t really a ‘sorry’ but a jab because of 28 day wait) Did you see those commercials on tv trying to jab Redbox and Netflix because of the 28 day wait? Talk about trying to compare apples to oranges. They show someone about to get emergency surgery on the operating table, ..or some one all hooked up at the dentist office, etc…and try to compare if you’d have to wait 28 days for those emergency surgeries as the same as having to wait 28 days to watch a dvd. Ludicrous. :-)

Yeah – saw those commercials – they are really lame. Blockbuster is pathetic. on another note, I won’t be watching/renting Salt – Angelina Jolie makes me ill.

Actually, I just got around to watching A Mighty Heart this weekend that stars Angelina Jolie. Not my favorite actress but she was pretty good in it,…she wasn’t all glamorous because she wore no makeup in the movie, and the content of the movie was serious and ‘unglamorous’ to start with. HOWEVER, it was hard to get past/not focus on her ‘lips’–her BIG lips,…her BIGGER THAN BIG lips… Supposedly they are her real lips and not enhanced–but they’re still really BIG! Also, this past week watched the new release BEAR movie. Says genre is ‘horror’ but actually more of a suspense movie and it was worth watching. No academy awards for it, but it was entertaining.

Also, just remembered a really good movie that I thought Angelina Jolie should have won an award for was that true story/movie where her young son is kidnapped,..then the Feds try to return this boy to her/try to convince her he is her son. Can’t remember the name of the movie right now, but I thought the whole movie was excellent.

I just came across a Blockbuster kiosk today. I’m curious do these blue box’s have to wait 28 days, or are they exempt because they are owned by Blockbuster?

Have signed similar agreements, but think only 1 company is making them wait 28 days. The other companies are just making them charge $3 for the 1st week or so to get the new releases.

The movie concerning Angeline Jolie and her missing son is called The Changeling. Those commercials are very lame.

My daughters will probably want to see Easy A again (we saw it in the theater for a birthday). It was surprisingly good – an attempt at an updated John Hughes-style high school comedy.

I’ll be checking out Flipped. I’m reading the book to my students and want to see if it’s appropriate to show at school for some compare/contrast and point of view lessons.

Nothing for me this week, although there are still some movies in the Box that I have to rent. And those commercials make me so mad!!!
