  In the 4 or 5 weeks that I’ve been using REDBOX, I was careless with receipts they sent, ….just deleted them.  

 Now I have a email folder that I keep all that stuff in to track things better.

  I have never received  a receipt the same day I returned a movie, sometimes it’s two or three days later!


 I certainly hope by bad habits early on don’t come back to haunt me because I didn’t keep track!</description>

		<description>you are right, you do not see any charges until after all discs from that rental transaction are returned (or after 25 days). It is simpler to track if you are just renting out one movie. Nothing is charged until that disc is returned &#039;successfully&#039;. You will not see $1 every day, just the total, be it $5 or $25. If you rented out, say, three movies at once, and return two of them the next day, but keep the third one a little longer, you will not see a &#039;charge&#039; receipt until that third movie is returned. 

Nothing is billed until all of the movies from that one rental transaction are returned, or not returned (25 days). Now, you will receive a &#039;return&#039; receipt upon every every disc that is returned. If you return a movie and did not receive a return receipt, by the time you get home, CALL THEM IMMEDIATELY!!! The only opportunity that you have to enter your email address is at the time of rental. After you entered it once, it should always appear (assuming that you are using the same debit/credit card). If you do not enter your email address at the time of rental, there is absolutely no other way for you to verify that your disc was returned (barring calling them at customer service to verify). 

You should receive three email receipts for each rental : the rental receipt (I did have one once that came 10 hours after my rental), a return receipt (those should occur immediately upon returning), and a charge/billing receipt (which usually occurs within 24 hours of returning).

Just because you have put a movie in the machine, and it took it, DO NOT THINK THAT THAT IS A SUCCESSFUL RETURN!!!. The machines have been known to spit a movie back out. Wait at the machine until you receive the &#039;successful return&#039; message on the screen. Do not give your movies to a friend or child to return, they may not be familiar with the specifics of the return process.

People need to stop thinking of the movies as being $1. Those movies should represent $25 to you. Would you Deposit $25 into an ATM and just drive/walk away the instant that the ATM started to take it in? Or would sit and wait to verify that your deposit processed? Think of the movies that way, and you will act responsibly to make sure that you never see a $25 charge a month later.</description>

I always return my movie the next day on time, but lets say I kept one 5 days.

Would I see an additional $1 charge  each day charged to my credit card or just a single additional charge for $4 when I returned it.  

 The reason I ask is if  for some reason I did return it on time, but redbox says I didn’t return it, I wouldn’t even know there was a problem till I was billed $25 for the DVD that they say I didn’t return.
