Anybody hear anything about “The Reader”?

I was very disappointed when I did not see “The Reader” listed for this week.

as was answered in the post above, “The Reader” is a Weinstein Co. release. YOU WILL NOT SEE IT AT ANY REDBOX ANYTIME!!!!. The Weinstein Co. has an exclusive distribution deal with Blockbuster.

Calbat is correct but you can also get it at Hollywood Video if you want to pay their outrageous price!

There is a way to get to see the Reader for free. At my local library they have DVDs that can be check out and reserved. Try your local library as an option.
        Hope this helps :-)

WOO-HOO!! Finally, after being on Redbox Kiosks forever,
Johnny Test is finally coming out today!!!
I remember seeing it listed the week of Christmas,
and it never showed! And now it is finally coming out!!!!

My whole family liked this show when it was on Kids WB!
    Glad it is finally out!

You won’t see The Reader or other Weinstein DVDs in part because of Blockbuster’s exclusive, but also because Redbox hasn’t decided to buy copies elsewhere like Netflix does. Yes, The Reader is available for rental at Netflix right now (though since since Netflix doesn’t depend on new releases to the extent Redbox does most subscribers will need to wait their turn for a copy.)

If Redbox really wanted to, they could get The Reader through other distribution channels (I have heard when the Weinstein exclusive deal started Netflix actually bought their copies at Walmart, I doubt that’s still true though.) But since Redbox is in a fight with Universal they are probably not interested in picking another one, especially since the problem might just go away on its own if Blockbuster continues to deteriorate financially.

I’m in Maine and the actual time is 1:16, So what ever you do don’t go by the time it says on the posts or you surely will be late or early for places you need to be. Better late than never!

has anyone been able to upgrade to April 15 e-mail Gold membership? All I get is a blank web page or an error code with no web page.

I’m really surprised that you of all people would post a code that isn’t valid! Are you just being really mean or what? That’s very out of character for you, Some people take your word at value. I don’t know that you can be trusted as to what you have to say. I guess it shows that some people do change and I don’t mean for the good.
