Redbox has just announced their additional expansion into several more convenience store chains in the northeast, southeast and midwest.

The deal is a way to expand the Redbox footprint to new convenience store locations in the Northeast, Southeast and Midwest, according to the company. Convenience stores that will feature Redbox kiosks include 7-Eleven, Circle K, Pantry, ExxonMobil, Kum & Go and Stripes, among others.

Has Redbox shown up at a convenience store near you lately? Do you rent from these locations?

Haven’t seen any in my local convenience stores… Not even one yet in my CVS pharmacy as was reported they are putting them in all CVSs. Have a lot of Redbox kiosks locally now but guess one can never have too many! Have a 7/11 up the road, so that would be good for me , plus think 7/11 have specific 7/11 redbox codes, plus redbox specials like buy a large fountain drink get a free redbox code–not sure though….Doubt if get any redbox kiosks at convenience stores in my locality though because my local Sheetz was suppose to get one but it was against the township/county ordinance :-(

7 Eleven’s in the Midwest are franchised for the most part….so it will be interesting to see how that plays out. The Corporate ones in State of Texas will most
likely get them, but the franchised ones in Oklahoma and Missouri probably will not.

Still, to see them at Walgreens and CVS will be amazing! In my city,
Walgreens and CVS are right across the street from each other in
the high traffic areas, and a few blocks from one another in
the mid to low traffic areas. Having not to stand in line to return videos will
be the best Customer Service redbox could give!

I live in Gilbert, AZ (just SE of Phoenix) and have more than a dozen locations within a 2 mile drive – 1 each @ Sonic, 7-Eleven, Denny’s & Marketside, 2 each @ Walmart & Fry’s Grocery, 3 Walgreens & 4 Circle K’s. It’s great that they’re just about everywhere here!

There are absolutely zero redboxes in my small town. The closest is ten miles away. There are also no family-run video stores here. Why won’t REDBOX put a machine in at least of our two convenience stores or our Ace Hardware store?
