This not sweet. It’s worse. 10 any rentals get one free was great. Now it takes 14 or 15 rentals and freebies no longer count. Now instead if a free DVD code which you could use off a Blu-ray and pay the difference now most boo texts only work on DVD. It’s more complicated and restrictive and less exciting. I’m encouraged to rent less.

I agree that it’s worse. A 33% devaluation in the rewards for renting a DVD. My biggest gripe is still the quality of the movies available.

I agree 100%! Redbox likes to position it as this great improved loyalty program, but in fact, it is quite the opposite! It is far more cumbersome and difficult to attain the “freebies” and as indicated above, the free rentals from codes WELL-EARNED are not any longer included in the “equation” when determining/”calculating” the credits one has toward the attaining of rewards! this really sucks and I am really starting to sour on renting from REDBOX. They used to be head and shoulders above the rest, but are no longer that at all!

I stopped the Box sometime back. I just get my DVD’s in the mail from Netflix.
No next day return bit. No going to the box bit. My DVD’s 95% of the time come in one day. And I have HULU, Amazon, Film Struck, Warner Archives. And Acorn TV. And HBO, CIN MAX ^ Show Time On Play Station VUE.
