This is a good one, Insiders. During the month of April, Redbox is giving away a year’s worth (52) of free rental codes to a lucky winner each day!

Good moves, free incentives like this will work at getting more customers, free always does attract the most attention from my experience, especially in a recession where everyone is looking for a marketing edge and saving money.

For anyone who doesn’t want to text, there is an online form:

Thanks for posting this link! :)
Jim thanks for the info for the online form.
i would like to recieve codes for free rentals
You can’t complain about free, but these codes being a single night each, could end up costing the winner a decent amount in late fees. It’s just so easy to say, “I’ll take it back tomorrow”, I did it all the time and the late charges add up fast. That’s part of why I prefer having a monthly subscription rental service. That’s exactly how the Blockbuster @Home service my employer, DISH released a few months ago, works. For way less money than I was paying Redbox in an average month, I get a much better selection of movies and video games by mail, instant streaming, and a bunch of movie channels in high definition. Even if I were to win this (which I won’t since I haven’t entered), I can’t see me waiting outside in a line to get to the kiosk ever again.
You have a budding career as a spokesperson…
Wa-a-ah, wa-a-ah, wa-a-ah!
If you rack up late fees, it’s yer own dang fault.
Please Add my name to the free rental once a month! Please text me a rental code first monday each month
Thanks

Apparently too much video-watching has dulled some people’s reading comprehension skills. From the message above:

I LOVE THIS IDEA
good post can always use movies thanks
Thanks for the info. Simple entry with a great prize. I’ll take a chance on this.
Great contest! Hope I win! Thanks!
Dont use a cell phone. Too expensive for normal people.
Actually Don, if you were to look at graphs of phone use, those who still have home phones keeps going down, and those that replace them with cells keep going up. I think about half the people that have cells no longer have landlines. You’re right – it’s too expensive for both so people choose cells over landlines again and again.
Interesting,
So true, I decided to dump the landline a couple years ago since I already had a cell phone, like most, and so did family members, so it made little sense to keep a landline which was hardly ever used. Never mind the fact it was costing another $25. a month for local calls only.
Like the phone booth is vanishing, so too will landlines in time as I see it. With unlimited wireless plans for as low as $40. a month, it makes sense to want to save money in this recession, I know I am. Better yet, it was just announced that my movie rental subscription will include wireless plans in July, so I hope to save even more.
Im glad Jim posted the link on where to enter if you dont text. I dont have texting on my phone. I rather use the free apps that are out their for my phone then have to pay an additional $30 a month for unlimited texting. That being said though, these free texting apps are not compatible with Redbox and many other text us to win type giveaways. It stinks because I miss out on a lot of giveaways by tyring to save the $30 a month for texting. I think no days with all the people with smart phones and using these free texting apps companies like Redbox should offer additional ways to enter contests other then texting. I would not have ever found that link if Jim didnt post it. I miss having my Monday text codes sent to me when I had my old phone. Too bad I cant sign up for that again with my new phone ;-( Well I will be entering every day using Jims link so maybe that will make up for me not getting my Monday text codes any more ;-)
OK how about this one?? Mad Money .. That’s a good one to. It’s a little old but still pretty good.. If you haven’t seen it you should check it out for yourselves ..
Just google the codes guy, there all over the internet…
