First we will contact Redbox FOR you and offer up that they immediately put their entire call center staff to work to see if a one “M Rusk” or similar is registered anywhere in the system, past or present! Then we will have them examine every line of software code and data to see if a code was ever sent to you! If that doesn’t pan out, we will research your cell phone carrier for you to see if an errant text was mismanaged or somehow dropped because that keep excellent records of this stuff, you know? And on the off chance that you are NOT registered (even if you never registered in the first place), we will send you a special free cods anyway because we wouldn’t want your stupid-assed question to go unanswered. After all everyone on this site feels the gravity and importance of your plea “Am. I. Still. Registered???? Wahhhh.”

I cannot ever get logged in-each time they tell me my password is wrong and send a new one which I copy and past-they still say it is not right!!!!
It is maddening and this has been for over four months. Funny-the one I had always used-came back as wrong-then this journey began!!!!!

I got the code but when I tried it at a red box it said it was not a valid code so I didn’t get anything free.

GO TO REDBOX.com and create an account if you do not have one.
Once you have your account, go to the “your Account” tab, and
at the bottom of that tab, go to “Edit Notifications and Subscriptions”.
MAKE SURE YOUR CELL PHONE NUMBER IS ENTERED THERE WITH THE
AREA CODE ( example: 4055551234)!!
Then make sure to checkbox ALL THREE SELECTIONS
(Redbox Reciepts, Movie Mondays, and Beta Tester)
Click Save and then o back to Redbox main page ( or click the Redbox logo).

To those who are getting invalid codes: Contact Redbox while ur at the Machine!
Redbox can then when they find out what machine your at, remotely look at it
to see if it is a problem with the machine! It may NOT be you.
CODES ONLY COME by SMS! If you aren’t signed up for SMS, U don’t get CODES!!! Most carriers ( Cricket, TMobile, Virgin, AT&T) offer some small
limited SMS plan ( I have TMobile and AT&T, and both have a 300 SMS plan
for about $15 a month.), so call them and check into it!!

I never got my code yesterday! I was waiting all month for that code, I was pretty disappointed to not receive it. I haven’t changed my number or anything so I have no idea why it didn’t come.

You couldn’t rent Shrek that came out on Tuesday with a code that can only be used on Monday.
It is possible to use a code, depending on where you are, on Tuesday between midnight and 1 AM…it’s worked for me in the past several times.
I’m pissed! Tried to use my code exactly as texted to me, and it was rejected 3x. Bullshit! I’m ready to stop receiving these emails. Is “Inside Redbox” affiliated with Redbox directly? I think Redbox is blocking these codes.
No, Inside Redbox is NOT affiliated with Redbox. However, Redbox is the one sending the codes to you, so I am pretty sure they aren’t blocking them.
Sometimes kiosks are unable to communicate with the Redbox servers, and that will cause the codes not to work. It just depends on the error message you get.
My friend told me even though he signed up for SMS, he never got the code, probably b/c he doesn’t rent/pay often. He thought that a minimum number of paid rentals is required to get the code.
Do ya’ll get one text message for free code/month or get multiple text messages from redbox, its affiliates, and possible spammers when signing up? I don’t use text message so don’t want to pay a monthly subscription just to get the code – not worth it. But if it’s only one message/month, I can survive it.
Why doesn’t redbox send the code via email? Blockbuster Express does it and they send out codes almost every week especially during major holidays, e.g. good for Monday only, 3-day weekend only, and rent-1-get-1-free.
