I have some good news for all you fans of Pixar and their Toy Story franchise…

When you rent Toy Story 3 (DVD or Blu-ray) from Redbox, you will receive a coupon for $5 off your purchase of the DVD or Blu-ray version of the movie. This offer is good for rentals made between 11/2/10 and 11/15/10 (while supplies last), and the coupon will be good until 11/30/10, which means it could work well for Black Friday shoppers.

AND, if you have a CVS nearby, you can even get Toy Story 3 for FREE. Keep reading to find out how…

CVS is offering a special where you can get the Toy Story 3 DVD for $3.99 when you purchase $25 worth of Proctor and Gamble products before 11/6/10. When you use that with your $5 coupon from Redbox, you end up getting your copy of Toy Story 3 for nothing. Nice deal, huh?

Do deals like this make you more likely to buy the movie they are for? Where you going to buy Toy Story 3 anyway? Share your thoughts in the comments.

How do you receive the coupon? We have a Redbox TS3 right now and don’t have the coupon. Also, my husband works for Procter and Gamble and it’s spelled “Procter” and not “Proctor”. Love the deal!

Any details on how to get the coupon?

I’m guessing email. Like I get my receipts. If so people need to make sure to enter one and have a linked account with Redbox.

What I have been reading around the internet is that Redbox sends you a link to purchase it from them at $5 off. Not a good deal. Here’s someone’s blog post on it: http://myfrugaladventures.com/2010/11/5-toy-story-3-dvd-coupon-from-redbox/
I rented it yesterday (hoping for the great coupon) and no e-mail arrived from them except for the receipt. I bought today instead from Wal-mart. I used the other coupon mentioned in the blog post linked above off the TS3 combo pack – it was cheaper than buying the deluxe DVD, and less out of pocket money for me than buying it with the CVS deal.

I had also gotten the Redbox e-mail that explained this promotion (although the explanation left out some details). So I rented TS3 on Tuesday evening, and got no indication of the $5 coupon. I then called Redbox customer service, and they indicated I would get the coupon in the form of a redbox code after I returned my TS3 rental. I explained to the c.s. rep that the language in the promotion was not at all clear that the $5 off would apply only to movies purchased from a Redbox (and therefore not stackable with other offers like the $8 Disney Movie Rewards coupon offer). Redbox was glad to credit my account for one night’s rental ($1 and change for tax).
I hope you consider getting more details about this, and update your post to keep people from having the same problem I did.

Or you can go to Disney’s website & join their rewards club and you can get up to 2 – printable $8.00 off coupons for the BLU-RAY / DVD combo of TOY STORY 3, plus they do this offer on most of the Disney releases. Some of them are even $10.00 off coupons.

i believe you have to buy the movie from redbox to get the $5 dollars off. i love redbox but their new movies are a little too pricey for me. (if i am wrong about having to buy it from redbox, please let me know. i’m getting my info from their facebook page, but i’m still fuzzy on how this offer really works.)

Nice post and I thought it was a step up from many of the other entries on your site.
