I don’t believe there is a service charge when you convert coins to certificates and not cash. I got an Amazon certificate a few months ago and there was no service charge – I assume Amazon pays that or Coinstar and Amazon have some other agreement.

I know there is a (IMHO) hefty charge to convert coins to cash at that coinstar machine.

Be careful with this one. Last year Coinstar offered a similar deal. The $40 is after the service charge. It may be different this year.

Cool! I might actually try out Coinstar for this deal. I have one of those automatic coin counter jars that I know I now have around $45 in coins so I’ll make the $40 mark to get the extra $10…from Amazon! Wish Coinstar could initiate a gift card for Redbox activated by utilizing your charge or debit card–as Michael once suggested.
