Inside Redbox is the #1 "Unofficial" Redbox Online Community for Redbox Codes, News and more. Inside Redbox is not affiliated with Redbox Automated Retail, LLC.

If you like some snacks to go along with your Redbox rental and shop at Kroger, your day just got a little better. PepsiCo (makers Pepsi, Mountain Dew, Lays, Cheetos, etc.) has teamed up with Redbox to offer free DVD rentals. Under the terms of the new promotion, customers who purchase three or more Pepsi or Frito Lay products at Kroger stores will earn a free one-night Redbox movie rental. The “Make it a Movie Night” promotion began earlier this month and runs through 2010.

Redbox’s SVP of marketing and customer experience, Gary Cohen, had the following to say about the new offer:

“With new movies released in Redbox kiosks every week, the year-long ‘Make it a Movie Night’ in-store program provides Kroger customers and Pepsi fans with a reward they can redeem in-store and raises awareness of Redbox’s presence at Kroger stores nationwide . . . Movies are the centerpiece of many family nights, and we’re thrilled Redbox is integral to this multibrand program.”

Geoff Kuzio, director of shopper marketing for PepsiCo’s Kroger team, says that initial results of the promotion have been very promising:

“The pilot results have been fantastic, doubling sales growth on participating products, increasing shopper’s spend per basket, and growing Kroger’s share of wallet on the featured items . . . This promotion rewards our consumers and creates a compelling in-store solution for convenient and affordable family entertainment.

    Oh My!!

Ralph’s stores in SoCal are offering a price
of $.79 for each 2liter Pepsi (assorted varieties)
when you buy 6! (good till June 1st)

I was worried they would only give me 1 RedBox
    promo code,

    NOT;

The cash register spit out two RedBox promo codes
good till August 8th of this year.

    Total net cost:

    $.79 X 6= $4.74

Is that a deal or what?

    Now that’s a deal!

Hmnnn…Wonder if this is at every store….Especially with Memorial Day/picnics coming up you buy a lot of pop….and if you have an ad with the sale price and take it to Walmart or Target, Walmart/Target will match the price…Wonder if Walmart/Target would then spit out some redbox codes :-) If you like slushees, the biggest slushees at the 7-eleven stores are suppose to have a unique 7/11 code that if you go on the 7 eleven website and type it in, you’ll get a redbox code sent to your email..

Hey “lumin47”, your comment on “The New Daughter” was WAY OFF BASE! I haven’t seen the movie so I won’t comment on that but OBVIOUSLY you have never seen “Mr. Brooks”. It is an awesome movie about a pillar of the community business man by day and a serial killer by night. And Kevin Costner is the serial killer! Check it out, you won’t be disappointed, just a little embarrassed for posting the comment you posted!

P.S. I would have posted this comment in the movie section but I don’t know how to do that….sorry!

Thanks, I do remember that film,
        memorable,
but his “good guy” films throughout his
        career outweigh the
bad, and this becomes somewhat weighty
when you are presenting horror gore.
        I hate to typecast,
even though I know I am doing it here.
        So, I will leave it at that;
this in no way reflects his acting ability,
as he is one of the best!!

The local Kroger brand (Smith’s, Utah) is doing a triple deal. Using their tracking, er I mean loyalty, card a 2 liter is $1.25. Buy 4, get 2 free. Plus 2 Redbox rentals good until Aug 31. Each bottle is 83 cents, plus the 2 free rentals. If you were going to Redbox anyway, that makes each bottle 50 cents. Good deal.

I wonder if this would count on the single 33 cent potatoe chip bags

might run up to the store before work and grab 3 bags and see

Doubtful but would be wonderful if it worked

Slidecage…I just looked on the Kroger site and it says must buy 2 liters of the pop, and the 7-15oz of the snacks. It has the exact weight for each different snack. Maybe Shane should ad the specifics/weight to this Post….

I don’t know about Kroger, but I got a 10 piece nugget from McDonalds and it has a code on it and I put it on their site and it gave me 3 reward choices and 1 is a free 1 night rental code from Redbox!

Oh cool, thanks. I got my free code and haven’t used it yet, but I am assumming it works anywhere cause we don’t have a Redbox @ our McDonalds here, so that wouldn’t be fair to have it be there only.

I say ‘pop’!!! You need to leave Philly to visit Pittsburgh more often! Also, we used to have Krogers all over the place here in Pgh, but Giant Eagles and Shop n Save seemed to take over :-(

We have King Soopers (subsidy of Kroger, Inc), and I got a printed code when I participated in the promotion. Too bad the code didn’t work. :(

I am going to have to see if this works. In the Fort Wayne area Krogers bought out Scott’s, and I am going to have to see if getting (3) 2 ltrs will work. If so then we may be watching a lot more videos through Redbox in the near future!

Not one of the promo codes issued by Pepsi worked for me. I’ve tried them at three different kiosks and get the same message, “Sorry, that promo code is not accepted at this Redbox.”

A couple of times Redbox has issued new codes when I’ve called them but now they’ve started referring me to Pepsi to get new ones.
