Speaking of elaborate costumes worn by total superheroes, this week kicks off with the mega-hit Spiderman 3. Tobey Maguire, Kirsten Dunst and James Franco all return in the latest installment of the popular web-weaving comic star. This time, Spidey faces a new challenge—his own evil side, come to life in a black costume—while still swinging from building to building chasing down villains.

Been wondering where Robin Williams would wind up next? (Bet you wouldn’t have guessed the pulpit.) In License to Wed, Jon Krasinski and Mandy Moore play an engaged couple who are sickeningly googoo gaga. That is, until Williams enters as a minister who drives them both crazy, testing their love for each other to determine if they’re suitable to be married in his church.

Next up is Captivity. Imagine what it would be like to wake up in a strange cellar. Okay, stop. STOP! That’s what Elisha Cuthbert and Daniel Gillies endure in this thriller. The two find themselves held captive in a dungeon by a sadistic stranger who tortures them psychologically. That’s crazy, but the truth about why they were captured turns out to be even crazier. Redbox says, perfect for Halloween.

In the hilarious animated feature Meet the Robinsons, a young boy named Lewis and an inventor named Wilbur travel to the future to stop Bowler Hat Guy’s evil plot. Daniel Hansen, Jordan Fry and Wesley Singerman voice the loveable characters.

Next up, redbox’s favorite son Kevin Costner returns in creepy fashion. Costner, Demi Moore and Dane Cook star in the horror/thriller Mr. Brooks. Costner plays a philanthropist who hides murderous secrets, while Moore plays the detective desperate to catch him.

Returning from last week, there’s the huge-action/huge-budget hit Transformers. Little has changed since you were smashing your Transformer toys in the sandbox—the two futuristic, robotic clans (the good Autobots and the evil Decepticons) are still battling viciously for supremacy. But the special effects are huge and the stars are enormous. Shia Lebouf, Josh Duhamel, Megan Fox and Tyrese Gibson are there, to name just a few.
