The reality TV portion of Netflix’s original content offering will include Ultimate Beastmaster, a global competition series executive produced by Sylvester Stallone.
Netflix CCO Ted Sarandos says that adding reality TV shows is the next logical step in Netflix’s content journey. Says Sarandos:
“We’re trying to make sure that we have something for everyone in the house . . . By producing our own [reality shows], we can focus on the shows that are more likely to ‘travel’ globally . . . When ‘Beastmaster’ hits in South Korea and feels like a local Korean TV show, they have never seen anything like that before from the scale of production.”
Is diversifying its content into the reality TV realm a smart move for Netflix? Would you watch a Netflix reality TV show?

Now I remember why I dropped them.
They are taking all the good stuff off. And putting
trash in it’s place..
Tell the media companies not to make licensing so expensive!
part of why I like Netflix is the lack or reality shows.
I agree! So called reality TV sucks! We all have our own reality in our lives, we don’t need these fake reality TV shows. The only true reality TV was Court TV and just look what they have done with it.
Also, our own game. I joked that I play “Real Life” game.
