Netflix is notoriously tight-lipped about viewership numbers, especially when it comes to its growing stable of original shows. However, Netflix recently pulled back the curtain just a bit on its viewers binge-watching habits.
The data comes from the global viewing of more than 100 shows between October of last year and May of 2016. On average, Netflix subscribers watch about two hours a day in order to finish a season of a given show.
Apparently, slower-burning shows such as “House of Cards,” “Narcos,” “Bloodline” and “Mad Men” take viewers longer to plow through than more intense fare like “Breaking Bad,” “Orange Is the New Black” and “The Walking Dead.”
According to Cindy Holland, Netflix’s VP of original content:
“As The Binge Scale indicates, the viewing experience of a series can range [a lot],”
Do you binge-watch shows on Netflix? If so, which ones take up most of your time, and how quickly do you blow through them?

NOPE! I have a life!!
No! I do watch NetFlix…. But not binge watching…
If people “have a life” then why do they have time to post negative replies on here. I think choosing how you manage your time is a personal choice and it’s offensive to give people the feeling they don’t have a life because they enjoy and choose to binge watch. Seriously? Everyone is paying $7.99+ a month, plus internet , cost of any equipment like your TV and streaming device. People who use it are getting their money’s worth and not wasting money driving around, eating out, drinking, yet still having a great time. I have the time of my life binge watching full seasons of Fuller House or watching 3 episodes in a row of The Ranch and sometimes people join me and we have frozen pizza and keep some money in our pockets!
Depends on whether me or my wife is in control of the remote. She’s much more of a binge watcher than I am.
No way, I can binge watch nonstop.
