99 per month for its standard, two streams at a time package. The single-screen basic package and the 4-screen family package will see their prices remain unchanged at $7.99 and $11.99 per month, respectively.

Existing Netflix customers will be allowed to keep their monthly fee the same for one year as a goodwill gesture from Netflix. A company spokesperson stated the following:

“To continue adding more TV shows and movies including many Netflix original titles, we are modestly raising the price for some new members in the U.S., Canada, and Latin America . . . As a thank you to existing Netflix members—who aren’t already benefiting from a previous price guarantee—we will maintain their current price for a year.

NetFlix is the was to go….. Yes they are going to up the price.. Everything is going up….
I locked in at $7.99 a month until 6/01/16. If it goes up a few bucks fine if i have to pay $10.00 even $12.00 OK… You really can’t beat the price….

Most consumer index prices went down, so you have to wonder why Netflix went up with prices, and how long before the other plans also go up. Perhaps they are feeling the heat from all the free access which is streaming from thousands of sites around the world. I dumped them all last year, been streaming ever since, no more monthly fees to hassle with, never mind saving over a thousand dollars a year by going 100% streaming, plus watch all the latest movies with no per movie fees saving even more.

Down?? What went down? Gas for the car…. And its on the way up again..
If you go by the Government index bit. That is total B.S….
Good luck with things going down…
And the free access stuff. What do you really get? Not much….

I’d pay $15 monthly for unlimited DVDs. Since I am retired I do watch as many as 20 movies monthly. At this price that would be only $.75 each…

I wished Netflix didn’t have subscription requirement. I wouldn’t mind paying on demands.
