Netflix’s content offering just got an infusion of prestige thanks to a new deal the company has just inked. The new agreement will secure Netflix exclusive streaming rights in the pay-TV window for all theatrical releases from The Weinstein Co. starting in 2016.
Until then, TWC Netflix subscribers can enjoy the studio’s documentaries and foreign films, which are already available on Netflix.
Ted Sarandos, CCO of Netflix, was excited about the new deal:

I find netflix to be easy to find any show we want to see.
I would like to see more of the newer shows and movies.
I love this app, I watch tv shows if I’m board or there’s nothing on tv. But I’m mad. NETFLIX DELETED ALL HISTORY SHOWS! Pawn Stars, American Pickers, etc. But I’ll watch Myth Busters and other stuff.
