Netflix Crushing Streaming Rivals

If you’re in the streaming business and your name’s not Netflix, things have to be a bit discouraging. According to new research from comScore, consumers that have cut the cable cord are spending more time watching Netflix than all of its closest rivals combined.

In April, Netflix accounted for about 40 percent of online streaming hours, with YouTube capturing 18 percent, Hulu grabbing 14 percent, and Amazon Prime Video bringing up the rear with 7 percent. One bright spot for Hulu was the fact that comScore discovered that its users are watching nearly 3 hours of content per day, compared to about 2.2 hours of Netflix.

Do you find yourself binging on Netflix more often than its streaming rivals out there, Insiders?

I have Netflix, Hulu With Showtime. Acorn TV. Shout TV. Short List. Amazon Video.Warner Archives. And watch them all about the same… And with all this.
I’m still paying about $60.00 a month less then if I had Cable TV.
I can watch what I want, when I want. And I can add my Laser Disc, VHS Tapes,
and DVD’s to it. And even 60 channels of over the air TV. Only about 5 Channels I watch if that.
    No need for cable TV..

I can see Hulu being popular for network new shows but I got a DVR so I mostly just use Netflix

Netflix is my go-to streaming service. I got a 1-year free from “Full Screen” because I have AT&T for cell service. Nothing great there. I also like Crackle since it’s free. They have some movies that Netflix doesn’t have. Netflix also has some of the best original shows. My 2ยข worth.

I prefer Hulu and have been quick to cancel Netflix from time to time. Their original content is sometimes disguising and pushing liberal values down our throats. Shows like Better Call Saul and Fargo are two I have paid to purchase from Amazon because I don’t have cable anymore. I also have Amazon Prime but I have it for the shopping advantage not the video. It too is trying to push the social engineering envelope and I get disgusted with it. I protest with my feet and realize some people might like it, so that is their prerogative but for me, I am not amused.

I also like Vudu. It’s where I have my digital copies.
